You get a big “Amen!!” from me on this one, Millard. As a Daughter of the American Revolution, I know from my family history that the men in this country were rugged and hard-working, and loved their country.
My father’s family were farmers and dairy owners for decades. My father
worked as a mechanic for Canada Dry Bottling Company, and I can remember ironing his denim uniform for him. The only pictures we have of him in a suit….church, wedding, or funeral. God rest his precious soul!
Yes, Jolly, I am. On my father’s side, both from his
father’s lineage and his mother’s lineage.
A friend of mine who is very active in the DAR had been asking me to trace my family history and join the DAR.
I have a first cousin who is a professor at West Georgia College and has been our family “historian” for many years. She sent me the documentation I needed, which I must say was most exciting!
Your kind words to me has brought tears to my eyes.
Thank you so much.
Hi, 1611 Believer 🙂 Me, too.
I’m DAR (both my father’s and mother’s sides). I’m also DRT (Daughters of the Republic of Texas) on my mother’s side.
No longer longer a dues-paying member, though. LOL
Hi, Angel, and thanks for the post.
And you are DRT also! Now that’s exciting!!
I’m proud to be an American!! So
sad what she is becoming!
And I always enjoy reading all of your posts. You seem to be a regular on here.
Yes, I agree. It is sad.
LOL I guess you could call me a “regular.” I exchanged comments and got acquainted with Henry many years ago, on different site. When he announced that he was launching “From the Trenches World Report,” I was one of the first to sign on. We’ve lost several, through the years, but I’m Still here. 😉 🙂
Honored to have your presence on “The Trenches” 1611 Believer. I have a family history the puts someone from my family in every war we have fought as a nation. My family tree includes Daniel Webster. Yes, I am an American National and proud of it. We cannot let “Men in Suits” steal our American dream. At the ready and prepared to defend my freedom with my life. Millard

Are you really a daughter of the revolution, 1611 Believer?
I’m proud to be commenting on the same page as you.

We appreciat you, Millard! And Daniel Webster, what a blessing to be able to call him your kin.
Yes, Millard, it looks as if we might have to defend
our dear country with our lives before this is all over.
Just don’t ever forget, God is on our side!!!!
Unfortunately for the men in suits, the men in denim who built this country now have nothing to build but gallows.
in canada they are one in the same. Denim and suits.
