Fox News Judicial Analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano was on America’s News HQ to discuss a new report that shows within last year the Obama Administration let 68,000 undocumented immigrants with criminal records to go free.
Napolitano said President Obama exercised his “prosecutorial discretion” to set them free.
He explained, “[Obama’s] argument would be that he has limited resources and would rather focus those resources, we’re talking about money and person power in the Justice Department, on other things than deporting people.”
Napolitano said that Congress could stop Obama from doing this, but they never interfere when Obama pushes the limits of executive authority.
He said, “In this area of immigration, he has pushed so far … that he is doing contrary to what the law says he’s supposed to do.”
