LOUISVILLE, Ky. — You don’t want to lick this off your fingers, no matter how good it smells.
KFC introduced a new, limited offer Monday, “Extra Crispy Sunscreen,” and, well, you can guess what it was. That’s right: the fast-food chicken chain gave away free bottles of sunscreen that smelled like — what else? — fried chicken.

Why did KFC do this? “[F]ried chicken smells delicious,” the company explained on Twitter. Naturally pairing it with another summer tradition, heading to the beach, was obvious.
It’s important to note: the sunscreen is not edible. Do not eat sunscreen.
KFC offered 3,000 bottles on its website for free. Of course, they were a big hit,according to Fortune. By late Monday afternoon the KFC website said they are already sold out.
According to Fortune, the company has no plans to sell the sunscreen.
The new product came just a few months after KFC released edible nail polish.
