Man Shoots AR-15 Braced on His Nose To Show Brutal Recoil From “PTSD Causing” AR-15

You may have put in a fair amount of trigger time with an AR-15. Many Americans have. And if so, the video you’re abuot to watch won’t be news to you. But it is still worth checking out, if only to sit back and laugh again at the idiot reporter who claimed shooting the AR-15 gave him PTSD.

Let’s talk a bit about the gun. The 5.56 round is tiny, and the guns that fire them are fairly compact. The AR-15 and all of its variations were built to be manageable. The tiny rounds are easy to carry. The light rifle was easy to carry. The low-recoil produced by the round in the rifle is easy to manage.

The big, overbuilt AR-15s with long heavy barrels are very easy to shoot. But even the pistol versions with chopped off barrels and no stocks are manageable. I’ve seen many people hold those one handed and shoot them effectively.

So how is it that shooting an AR-15 can cause you so much stress that you develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Where exactly is the trauma?

To prove the point, Christopher Waller has taken to YouTube to demonstrate just how traumatic the AR-15 actually is. And to do so, he places the rifle up against his nose and pulls the trigger.

While I’m not rushing to the range to recreate the experiment, I do admire his sense of humor. And you know that gun control advocates have to be disappointed. They expected blood and guts.

After-all, these are rifles meant for killing bad guys. These assault weapons are supposed to be carried by burly men like Chuck Norris who have the years of training needed to control such an insipid killing machine. They’re notorious for killing anyone who so-much as touches them.

Or maybe not. I’m waiting for the sequel, in which he’ll put a 12 gauge break-action up on his schnoz and pull the trigger.
