Massive Power Failure Leaves 50 Mln People in Latin America Without Electricity

According to Argentine newspaper Clarín, the power cut occurred shortly after 07:00 (12:00 GMT), causing massive power outages in Argentina and Uruguay and some regions of Paraguay, Chile, and Brazil. The blackout has abruptly interrupted the railway and the subway services, also creating numerous problems on roads due to a traffic lights shutdown.

“A massive failure in the electrical interconnection system left all of Argentina and Uruguay without power”, electricity supplier company Edesur said in a tweet, commenting on the problem.

“At this moment, we are working to determine the reason for this failure and be able to restore the supply in the shortest possible time”, said the official Twitter account of the Provincial Energy Company of Córdoba.

According to news site Infobae, Edusar has confirmed “the blackout is at a country level and also affects Uruguay” and said that nothing like this had ever happened.

Preliminary reports say that the affected provinces in Argentina were Santa Fe, San Luis, La Rioja, Formosa, Chubut, Cordoba, and Mendoza.

“The system is already being lifted from scratch. There are already cities on the coast with service and work is still being carried out towards the general restoration”, UTE, the National Administration of Power Plants and Transmissions, stated.

The combined population of Uruguay and Argentina is about 48 million people, however, it is unclear how many people have been affected by the power failure in the region.

The outage comes amid the Copa América football championship in Brazil, while in some parts of Argentina people were preparing to vote in local elections.

  1. It took a lot of energy to take care of Netanyahu’s fraud trial.

Get rid of all the billionaires, this shit wouldn’t happen.

  2. “… said that nothing like this had ever happened.”

A whole lotta ‘nothing like this had ever happened’ is going on lately.

Bet there was an agenda behind this one.

“The outage comes amid the Copa América football championship in Brazil, while in some parts of Argentina people were preparing to vote in local elections.”

    (S)elelections???

Nawwww, that couldn’t be the reason.

    1. ah.. my memory was just jogged…Brazil…cancelled security contract with Israhell during olympics over Palestinian mans’ rights violations ….more payback by the jews?

  3. The U.S government announced in the New York Times that it has implanted malware in the Russian power grid to be able to shut it down….I am sure we have it implanted in China and in South America as well but it could simply be out of control migration.

    1. First thing I thought was “dry run” for the big show.

On a more serious note, the illegals being spread throughout the US is not an act to benefit the US.

Africans at the US S border with “rolls” of hundred Dollar bills. Who is bringing them here. The “why” is about as tough to figure out.
