Microsoft to stop producing Windows versions

Windows 10 is going to be the last major revision of the operating system.
Jerry Nixon, a Microsoft development executive, said in a conference speech this week that Windows 10 would be the “last version” of the dominant desktop software.

  1. What? Are we supposed to believe that Bill Gates said “I’ve got enough money. Time to quit.”

    I highly doubt that.

  2. It is the last revision but not the end of their crap garbage OS…they just plan to do in-place upgrades. Windows 10, an OS version of Office365. They planned this before before Win 7 even, no one really liked the idea of their home PC being a dumb terminal.

    I suggest http://www.ubuntu.com/
if you want a desktop GUI system without the Microsoft ball and chain.
