More Tales from the Election That Wouldn’t End

Daisy Luther

Once upon a time, there was a Land full of mountains, deserts, lakes, and plains. The person who got to run the country was selected by the same tradition for hundreds of years. In this particular year, the choice was between an Evil Queen and a Loud Ogre.

The Evil Queen was confident she had the job. She and her followers had gone to great lengths to secure the vote, and some of those lengths were quite questionable. We learned this because of a brave knight locked away in an Ecuadoran Embassy, typing away on a computer to let all of the people know the truth about the Evil Queen if only they dared to read it.

Imagine the shock when the Loud Ogre defeated the Evil Queen on election day, according to the traditions of the Land. The peasants in the villages in the middle of the Land all wanted the Loud Ogre to be the leader because they’d seen they truth about the Evil Queen. Many of them felt that the Loud Ogre was indeed loud, but not necessarily bad.

The Evil Queen reportedly flew into a rage and then hid in her lair for many days. During that time, she was devising a plan to defeat the Loud Ogre, even though she had promised to abide by the rules of the game.

As with all Machiavellian fairy tale plots, the determination to have her way meant that the Evil Queen and her followers would be relentless and would seek to achieve their goal by any means necessary.

First, there were protests and riots in the streets of the Land.

Beginning mere hours after the Evil Queen pretended to concede to the Loud Ogre, protests and riots broke out in the streets of America. The Loud Ogre’s many castles were surrounded and under siege by sobbing magical snowflakes. Roadways were shut down, and carriages transporting the people were brought to a halt.

Supporters (real or imagined) of the Loud Ogre were beaten and screamed at by the Queen’s minions. Parts of the Kingdom were destroyed, vandalized, or looted as the minions expressed their rage about the Ogre’s victory.

The Evil Queen joined forces with another lady who suffered defeat.

The Evil Queen has joined another losing candidate in demanding recounts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. We don’t know the reason that Losing Lady has joined in this effort, but the Internet is rife with theories. Another losing candidate, who was cheated by the Evil Queen but who dislikes the Loud Ogre, even more, has said thatno one expects there to be profound change” by spending the millions of dollars for a recount.

The Loud Ogre seems unaffected and claims that he would have won the popular vote anyway had it not been for the high numbers of illegals voting. (And if you recall, even the current ruler of the Land told illegals it was perfectly cool if they DID vote and that they would face no repercussions for doing so.)

Then there’s the harassment of the electoral college.

The representatives that will soon be meeting to cast their votes based on the wishes of their constituencies are also under siege by the Evil Queen’s angry followers. They’ve reported an onslaught of harassment and even death threats if they don’t wrongly cast their votes for the Queen.

One such elector said:

“You have people saying ‘you’re a hateful bigot, I hope you die. I’ve had people talk about shoving a gun in my mouth and blowing my brains out. And I’ve received dozens and dozens of those emails. Even the non-threatening-my-life emails are very aggressive.”

They also want to overthrow the electoral college entirely.

If plans A, B, and C don’t work, a follower of the Evil Queen wants to get rid of the Electoral College altogetherto give the Queen what she believes is her rightful place on the throne. If this were to occur, darkness would fall across the Land, because the peasants in all of the villages in the middle of the kingdom would be ruled by the wealthy lords and ladies.

Finally, if that doesn’t work, they’re planning to unleash the flying monkeys on the Inauguration.

In a last ditch effort to stop the Loud Ogre from ascending to the throne, there is a plan afoot to disrupt the transfer of the scepter from the Present King to the Loud Ogre.

The biggest protest in the history of the Land is scheduled for Inauguration Day in the Capitol. Angry minions plan to fill the streets with signs, shouting, and chaos as the Loud Ogre heads to the Palace.

How does the story end?

It’s most likely that the Loud Ogre will take his rightful place (via the Electoral College) at the helm of the Land.

But it’s the cracks in the foundation of the Land that we need to be worried about. The division, the apathy, the fatigue, and the animosity between people who should be united.

The small amount of remaining credibility in our political system is in question.  No one with half a brain believes anything in the mainstream news anymore, while the mainstream tries valiantly to discredit the alternative media – you know, the folks who pointed out that the MSM was making stuff up in the first place. Chinks in our armor are widening into cracks and those cracks leave us exposed and vulnerable from those outside forces that seek to do us harm.

Every morning in our newsfeeds, we face revelation after revelation, accusation after accusation. Pedophilia, collusion, rigged elections, backstabbing, and murder all seem to have a place in the 2016 election. The dirty laundry of the United States is being aired for the world to see and we are becoming a laughingstock on the international stage. The danger goes much further than the damage we are witnessing at home.

Our status as the reserve currency was shaky before the election and loss of faith in us as a nation could hasten its decline. We could find ourselves facing an economic crisis that leaves us in a far worse state than the crisis precipitated by the sub-prime collapse of 2008-2009. This would be a disaster for millions of Americans on both sides of the political divide. It would be a crisis beyond anything we have experienced so far and would touch every man, woman, and child in the country.

Holding currency reserves minimizes exchange rate risk, as the purchasing nation will not have to exchange their currency for the current reserve currency in order to make the purchase. Since 1944, the U.S. dollar has been the primary reserve currency used by other countries. As a result, foreign nations closely monitored the monetary policy of the United States in order to ensure that the value of their reserves is not adversely affected by inflation. (source)

Bottom line: The American fairy tale may be over if we can’t get it together. And it won’t be “happily ever after.”
