Oklahoma County deputy shoots self in foot instead of dog

Fox 25 – by Jay Dillon

An Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Deputy is recovering after accidentally shooting himself in the foot during a call Tuesday morning.

The sheriff’s office say the deputy was hurt in the 3500 block of Hicks, near Spencer, around 9:30 AM Tuesday. The office says he was responding to an animal control call about a loose dog.

As the deputy arrived on scene, the dog began attacking him and biting at his foot. The deputy pulled his weapon and pulled the trigger but the dog moved and instead of hitting the dog, he shot himself in the foot.

He was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries. His name has not been released.

  1. “As the deputy arrived on scene, the dog began attacking him and biting at his foot. The deputy pulled his weapon and pulled the trigger but the dog moved and instead of hitting the dog, he shot himself in the foot.”

    Hahaha!! Priceless.

Well, what do you know….a dog that’s faster than a speeding bullet. We should call it SUPERDOG!

  2. One might ask, “Why didn’t he just tase the dog instead?”

But nope, we all know he had to use the “excessive force” method on the dog like he probably does with everyone and everything else in order to raise his ego.

What can I say, “Pride goeth before the fall”.
