DETROIT (WJBK) – Southfield Police tell FOX 2 that officers spotted a car going the wrong way on the Lodge Freeway. After attempting to pull the car over, the driver sped away.
A chase then ensued that led police into the city of Detroit, ending when the pursued car crashed into another vehicle near the Davidson Freeway and Woodward Avenue.
One suspect got out of the car and began to run, but after police pulled their SUV along the side of him he went down onto the pavement of the overpass and was apprehended.
Two officers got on top of the man. Video taken from SkyFOX shows one officer hitting the man in the back of the head several times and then placing his foot on his head as he stands over him. The suspect also appears to have been tasered.
At the same time, another man gets out of the car and lays down on the pavement and officers quickly take him into custody.
