Guns Save Lives – by Dan Cannon
While 9mm SMG style (notice I said “style”, of course these aren’t the real deal) pistols and rifles abound in the US, it seems like we never get the cooler models, which are usually barred from importation.
The ones that we do get end up being overly expensive for the performance they provide.
Enter the CZ Scorpion EVO Pistol. A 9mm carbine that is sold in a pistol configuration and has all of the modern features gun owners are demanding, including a full length top rail for optics and multiple rails on the hand-guards for diverse configuration options.
However, the best part about the new Scorpion? The price point. With an MSRP of $849 and a street price likely in the $700′s it’s far below the current market price of other competitive options.
Other attractive points the Scorpion has going for it:
– The magazines will cost less than $20/each
– An adapter for using a SIG SB-15 Brace will be available for people who are fans of that accessory
– CZ will be stocking the factory stocks (which are easily attachable to the pistols) for anyone who wishes to register their Scorpion as a short barreled rifle
Of course, we’ll have to wait and see how the reliability, durability, and accuracy are, but at least on paper the Scorpion seems to be one of the most attractive options on the market for anyone in the market for a pistol caliber, SMG style firearm.
By all indications it looks like the new Scorpion will be in US shops in January.
