Six Wisconsin Students Cited For Nerf Gun Battle

Police in Wausau, Wis., cited six students for disorderly conduct because they were having a Nerf gun battle.

Residents in Wausau allegedly called police after they spotted the students pointing a Nerf gun at a car Tuesday night. Even though the toy only shoots foam bullets, Wausau Police Capt. Ben Bliven told WAOW-TV that residents were frightened so police responded appropriately.

“Our dispatch said there were three people with firearms,” said Bliven. “So we had to respond appropriately. We wanted to do everything as safe as possible for us and for the citizens in the area.”

One parent, Scott Hansen, believes police went too far by citing the students.

“I just think at that point it got a little out of hand,” said Hansen. “Then the issuing of citations was really out of hand.”

“Well I thought it was a little bit overdone with the cops coming and the guns that they brought with them,” said senior Brad Gajewski. “I don’t think it was necessary. It’s just kids having fun, they’re not really breaking the law.”

According to reports, their school may even put some of the boys on athletic probation over the incident.

Nerf gun wars appear to be a tradition at the high school.

“It tends to evolve at times, and I think that’s what we’re dealing with,” Jeff Lindell, the district’s director of pupil services, told WAOW-TV. “We definitely had some concerns last year, but I think the game just keeps evolving.”

  1. Yea, this sounds about right for some busy body, bible thumpin` wisconsin cheese head to call the cops on somebody for.

  2. “Our dispatch said there were three people with firearms”

If that was the report they got, they should have arrested the rat for filing a false report. The thing is bright yellow, for the sole purpose of making sure it’s not confused for a firearm, but this busy-body old bag just hates kids so she had to call in the cops.

And for being a rat, she should have had all her widows broken as soon as the cops drove away.

  3. “Residents were frightened”.
Man, these people must wet themselves in fear every time they walk into a toystore, that has a giant display of these nerf guns. What the heck is wrong with people!

  4. Well, let’s make elbow and knee pads with Kevlar vests mandatory to keep ours kids safe! Heaven forbid that one might scrape a knee on the playground. Yes, let’s have playground officials with whistles to keep order. Nonconformists will be waterboarded.

Well, if you’re not breaking the law, then WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ACCEPTING THE CITATION???!!! 😡

Yet, for some reason YOUR STILL STUPID ENOUGH TO GO ALONG WITH IT AND PAY THE ILLEGAL, UNCONSTITUTIONAL, RIDICULOUS CITATION, RATHER THAN FIGHT IT!!!! 😡

Just keep giving them authority that they don’t have you dumb, stupid sheeple and you wonder why you have no rights. Are you really that stupid? How did you survive grade school?

Yes, let’s just talk and joke about it, all the while they are extorting money out of your pants like a high school bully asking for lunch money.

I can’t take this kind of stupidity anymore.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE????!!!!

    WAKE THE F UP!!!! 😡

  6. “…residents were frightened so police responded appropriately.”

Their conditioning has been a complete success.
