Stunning photos capture passenger planes looking as though they are flying to the moon and circling the sun

A French photographer snapped these astonishing pictures of passenger planes appearing as though they are heading to some unusual locations… the sun and the moon.

The shots of a Boeing Dreamliner were captured by Sebastien Lebrigand, 39, from the back garden in his home in Crepy-en-Valois, near Paris.

The images give the illusion that the planes are flying around the sun or about to land on the moon’s surface.

Lebrigand, who has been an amateur astronomer for more than a decade, uses a Canon EOS 60D, and a telescope to take the pictures.

The images of the planes, which look enormous compared to the sun, are the result of up to three hours’ work.

Lebrigand, a father-of-two, said the results are a mixture of patience and luck. ‘I’ve been an amateur astronomer for 20 years. I do these photos to change our vision of things and to take the rare moments,’ he said.

‘I take pictures of what the eye finds difficult to see. I enjoy the rare conjunction of the planes passing by the sun and the moon.’
