  2. It would be nice if the people who made these guns in their garage made tons of them, and sold them discreetly, otherwise, it’s not really a cost-effective defense of the second article.

    There’s too big an investment required just to make one or two guns, and even though their un-traceability is a big advantage, it’s just as easy to hide or destroy a traceable gun if that had to be done.

    This is great for anyone who already owns a 3D printer (or $1,700 milling machine), but the majority of Americans are much better off just buying a gun. And…… if they could make buying a gun illegal, they can also ban machines that allow you to make one at home, so it’s not really a future-defense of the second article for more than a few people (who already own the machines anonymously)

    What’s going to defend the second article (and the entire Bill of Rights) has a lot more to do with balls than ball bearings.
