Thursday Overnight: IOF Raids Continue Across the Occupied West Bank

Israeli occupation forces(IOF) and several settlers invaded on Thursday at dawn the city of Nablus, leading to clashes with dozens of local youths; one teen was shot with a live round.

Local media in Nablus said the IOF shot Ahmad Adel Mas’oud, 17, with a live round in his thigh.

In addition, many Palestinians received treatment for the effects of tear gas inhalation.  

13043471_1378694382172978_3883005593722285244_nAccording to eyewitnesses, nearly 12 Israeli buses, carrying hundreds of settlers, parked at the eastern area of the city early today under heavy military protection.

The settlers  headed towards “Joseph Tomb”, east of Nablus.

The IOF currently allow settlers to visit the site, even though the shrine being located in area A, which is under full Palestinian Authority (PA) control under the Oslo Agreements.

Furthermore, in Jenin, the IOF kidnaped, late at night Wednesday, two Palestinians after searching many homes.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that the IOF kidnapped Ahmad Adnan Erheil, 25, from Kafr Dan village, west of Jenin, after stopping him at the Za’tara military roadblock, near Nablus.

They also detained a young man, identified as Fayez Akef Shehada, from ‘Ejja town, south of Jenin, allegedly for crossing to Jerusalem to work without a permit.

Three ex-prisoners, from Ramallah, were among the kidnapped.

A Palestinian young man was also kidnapped at Za’atara military checkpoint while driving into Ramallah.

In the southern part of the Gaza Strip, the IOF  opened fire, on Thursday morning, on a number of Palestinian farmers in their lands.

According to WAFA Palestinian News Agency, the Israeli soldiers, stationed across the ‘border’ fence, fired many live rounds on the farmers, while working in their own lands, forcing them away.
