Former Navy SEAL Dom Raso has had enough of the political left’s dishonesty about the dangers of semi-automatic rifles in the hands of American citizens– and he’s telling them to shut up.
“Let me say something to every political hack pretending you know an AR-15 from a double barreled shotgun in the wake of the Orlando terror attack. Stop talking,” Raso says in a video commentary for NRA News. “Every word not only exposes your ignorance, but your utter contempt for ordinary Americans trying to survive in an age of terror you still won’t fully recognize.”
Raso goes on to note that the 2nd Amendment was aimed at making sure Americans could protect themselves from threats to life and liberty, regardless of how the anti-gun left attempts to twist its words.
The AR-15, he contends, is an ideal platform to provide that protection in the modern age.
“Unlike Hillary, I’ve actually used an AR-15—but fully automatic,” Raso explains. “I was a SEAL for twelve years. Now, I train average everyday Americans to protect themselves and their families.
“And for the vast majority of people I work with, there is no better firearm to defend their homes against realistic threats than an AR-15 semi-automatic,” he continues.
Raso says he so loves the AR platform for home defense for a few very simple reasons.
It’s easy to learn.
It’s easy to use
It’s accurate.
It’s reliable.
“If the founding fathers had known this gun would have been invented, they wouldn’t have rewritten the Second Amendment—they would have fortified it in stone,” he says. “They knew the only way for us to stay free was by having whatever guns the bad guys have. This firearm gives average people the advantage they so desperately need and deserve to protect their life, liberty, and happiness.”
Raso also notes that assault weapon bans in places like California have done little to deter terrorists—but asks viewers to pay careful attention to the firearms the first responders carry when they arrive on the scene of terror attacks.
“Why would you want to ban the gun that you pray for police to show up with?” Raso asks.
And, Raso suggests, if there weren’t a legitimate reason for average Americans to fear Islamic extremists, politicians like Clinton wouldn’t be surrounded by armed guards.
“I fought this enemy face-to-face for 12 years,” he notes. “I know how they think, and I know the hatred that burns inside them.”
Raso concludes with three suggestions: Embrace your freedom, get an AR-15 and learn how to use it.
“Your safety is in your hands,” he says. “And thank God we have the Second Amendment.”
I wish we could get beyond this ‘Islamic terrorist’ nonsense and focus on the TRUTH; The enemy is Washington, and their private armies they’re recruiting – and their patsy-setups.

Many will argue you cannot go up against SWAT and military, etc., but if this thing DOES explode, the AR will be an equalizer, as ‘they’ arent going to roll in with tanks and destroy the buildings the sheep live and work in, as they’ll turn the sheep against them
When some folks argue that people can’t defend themselves against the military, others often point out that the Iraqis and the Taliban held their own against the US in spite of only being able to play defense (i.e., those guerrillas had no real way to target the invaders’ suppliers, support structure, or homes here in the US). In addition, even though the guerrillas were the “home team,” they were badly outnumbered by US and NATO forces. They still proved to be very resilient, causing a fair number of deaths and injuries, and costing the US enough to substantially increase the national debt.
The most important advantage the Iraqi resistance and the Taliban had was their willingness to die in combat. In contrast, most US troops are terrified of death. Also, US casualties in these non-defensive wars are a major political liability.
As for the TWAT teams, they’re just overgrown adolescent posers playing Delta Force. They only reason they don’t get wasted more often is because they almost invariably have the advantages of surprise, gear, and numbers. Even a team of Girl Scouts could prevail under those conditions. TWAT teams typically cower when they’re up against determined, well-armed subjects — we all saw this at Columbine, Virginia Tech, and Orlando.
There is only one of two ways this is all going to end. Either we divide this country in two and give one half to the brain dead liberals and the other half to the pro- constitution, pro-second amendment people or else we have a civil war and be done with them forever. They will never stop until they win or you win….so…whats it gonna be?
You’re probably right that the only way this ends is with a country divided into two (or more) territories. Sadly, it isn’t only “liberals” who are brain-dead in America. Most mainstream “conservatives” are just as bad. Both major political parties are extremely hostile to the Bill of Rights. The GOP is better on the Second Amendment, but it is worse on others. All in all, it’s a wash.
Ultimately this is a battle not between “liberals” and “conservatives” (two terms that don’t have much meaning anymore in the US) but between authoritarians and libertarians.
On another note…..those who will take up arms against the people, (the swat teams and the other official uniformed killers for the NWO), have low IQ’s. No one with any real knowledge of history and with real honor , intelligence and an IQ higher than their shoe size would work for such an evil entity no matter what the pay is.
Those with the real honor and intelligence will always defeat the idiots no matter what kind of weapons the evil ones give them and history proves this assumption correct. A bunch of stupid kids with high powered weaponry is no match for those with real cunning, skill and knowledge of real guerrilla style warfare.
Agreed. And as far as I’m concerned, even when someone gets killed in a fight against evil, he still wins — especially if he takes out some of his enemies first.
