Watch this police captain answer questions about his force’s chronic failure to use body cameras

Washington Post

Captain Heath Helton of the Little Rock Police Department is questioned by civil rights attorney Mike Laux, off camera, about officers failing to activate their body cameras during use of force incidents. At the time of *this* deposition on Sept. 19, 2016, Helton was head of the department’s training division.

  1. I wonder if SCOTUS will strike down the police union for not making their members accountable to the laws they are sworn to protect. If unions are to be demonize against the American right to freely choose, then the police unions should be the first to be demonize. Now I am not say cops are bad, like the officer said there is a few bad apples in the barrel, but to protect the bad cops blindly does a great disservice, not only to the public who they sworn to protect, but more importantly to the officers that adhere to that oath and follow it by their actions.

    1. A few bad apples?
You must be a part of that ‘learning curve’ that can’t possibly exist at this point in the ballgame. Every one of them, including the Sheriff’s Departments violate the Bill of Rights every day they are in uniform. Or maybe violations of the Bill of Rights are all right with you.

    2. William, what is wrong with you? have you not heard the saying; “Those who stand by and watch a crime being committed are just as guilty as he one committing the crime”. Which is what your so called good cops do, on top of not snitching on the cop doing the dirty deed. There there is no such thing as a good cop. Just look at all the excuses/tap dancing this ones was making in the video. Wake up out of your slumber dude!

    3. William I will send to you Henry’s CD: Bill of Rights/ Common Law explained (it is free) …all you need to do is email Laura and Henry with your mailing address and they will pass it on to me. It is a 6 hour awesome presentation!
