4 cops shot in 24 hours in 4 cities, 2 shootings called targeted
Two police officers have been shot in separate incidents in what authorities are calling targeted attacks. One died; the other was shot twice in the face but was expected to survive.

They were two of four officers shot Sunday in four incidents.

A San Antonio detective writing out a traffic ticket to a motorist was shot to death in his squad car late Sunday morning outside police headquarters by another driver who pulled up from behind, authorities said.

San Antonio police Chief William McManus identified the officer as Benjamin Marconi, 50, a 20-year veteran of the force.

Police posted a picture of a possible person of interest Sunday evening:
CBS San Antonio affiliate KENS-TV reports Mike Helle, president of the San Antonio Police Officers Association, knew Marconi personally. He said Marconi leaves behind two adult children.

“Ben was a great guy. People loved him, and certainly, he had an aura about him,” Helle said. “You had to go out of your way to not like him. So he’s that good of a guy.”

Police said the search for a male suspect was still underway early Monday and that no arrest had been made. McManus said he doesn’t believe the suspect has any relationship to the original motorist who was pulled over, and no motive has been identified.

In St. Louis, a police sergeant was hospitalized in critical condition but expected to survive after being shot twice in the face Sunday night in what the police chief called an “ambush.” Police reported early Monday that the suspect was later killed in a shootout with police.

CBS St. Louis affiliate KMOV-TV reports the shootout started when the suspect again shot at officers.

Police Chief Sam Dotson said the 46-year-old officer was shot twice in the face.

“Fortunately for the blessing of God the officer’s going to survive,” Dotson said during a brief news conference after the shooting. He declined to name the officer but said he is a married father of three who has been with the department for about 20 years.
The officer was not involved in a call or a traffic stop but was sitting in traffic about 7:30 p.m. Sunday when another car pulled up alongside his marked police vehicle. The officer told police he heard at least two shots.

“This officer was driving down the road and was ambushed by an individual who pointed a gun at him from inside of his car and shot out the police officer’s window,” Dotson said.

Police reported that officers later pulled up behind the suspect’s vehicle and that he fled on foot. Police said the man fired shots at the officers, who returned fire, killing him. No officers were shot.

Police said the suspect was wanted for violent crimes and likely feared being recognized.

Two other police officers were also shot Sunday night, but it wasn’t clear whether the incidents were targeted attacks.

An officer with the Gladstone, Missouri, police department near Kansas City was shot, along with a suspect. A Sanibel, Florida, officer was shot in the shoulder during a traffic stop Sunday night, and was treated for his injuries and released.

Kansas City police issued a statement Monday morning saying that late Sunday night, Gladstone PD stopped a vehicle on a traffic violation. Someone ran from the vehicle, and Gladstone police chased the person on foot. Officers tried to take the suspect into custody and a struggle ensued during which the suspect produced a handgun. Shots were fired and the suspect was fatally wounded. A Gladstone PD officer was also shot, suffering non-life threatening injuries. The driver was taken into custody but was later questioned and released.

Sunday’s fatal shooting in San Antonio came less than five months after a gunman killed five officers in Dallas who were working a protest about the fatal police shootings of black men in Minnesota and Louisiana. It was the deadliest day for American law enforcement since Sept. 11, 2001.

Ten days after the Dallas attack, a man wearing a ski mask and armed with two rifles and a pistol killed three officers near a gas station and convenience store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. And earlier this month, two Des Moines, Iowa-area police officers were fatally shot in separate ambush-style attacks while sitting in their patrol cars.

“It’s always difficult, especially in this this day and age, where police are being targeted across the country,” McManus said.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called the slaying of Marconi a “horrific act of violence.” Abbott said in a statement that “attacks against law enforcement officers will not be tolerated in Texas and must be met with swift justice.”

This is a lie, but lies are what we expect to hear from these dirtbags.

It just so happens that this year there’s been an uptick in the willingness of people to talk back to the pigs in their own language, the only one they understand. That’s great, but the number of mindless enforcement goons being killed is still lower than it was in past decades. And you’re still safer from violent crime as an on-duty pig than you are as a private citizen.

If pigs were being targeted the way they deserve to be, they wouldn’t dare appear in public while wearing a uniform.

  2. SSDD, what stands out as is consistent now days, is the extremely poor video quality..?

I mean really, I see this footage of the Purported Suspect, and I think I’m looking at a 1978 VHS recording…and it was, I believe, from Police Dep’t Surveillance cams too, as it shows top right corner of still.

Kinda like the airport Terror attacks in Europe, same ridiculous quality from modern day video cams, I could duct tape my iphone to a wall and get better quality…something smells with this…

  3. I told you police killings would become more frequent…. it means we’re a population that’s on the brink of revolt.

A lot of people are learning the truth at once, and a certain percentage of them are willing to shoot police in revenge.

They’re the arm of government that deals directly with the people, so they always take the first hits.

  4. Being shot in the face goes beyond the pale, i hope you all never need rescued by a policeman. There have always been Rogue Cops, but they are specificly trained by the Homeland Sec Dept, FBI and Natl Guard to be more aggressive, throw in PTSD from whatever situation one may have been in, i dont know there are many things to look thru. I have had Family who were Cops, they would lay down their life for you. EVERY situation should be dealt w and Judgement made.

    1. “Being shot in the face goes beyond the pale, i hope you all never need rescued by a policeman.”

Believe me when I say (and I speak for the vast majority of Trenchers, I’m sure) that I hope for the same, since I know that any ‘help’ THEY have to offer will very likely mean my death, UNLESS I shoot them first. Pigs aren’t IN the business of ‘rescuing’ ANYTHING but corporate assets.

You’ve been posting here far too long to NOT have come to the same conclusion the rest of us have… they’re ALL corrupt, from the meter maid right up to the president.

Quit ignoring reality, Tess. The ONLY way this will be resolved is with a fight. Zero other options at this point.

btw, I have a very good friend in L.A. who was an L.A. cop years ago. After I woke up, I had a conversation with him concerning his job (he was only part-time, but that’s irrelevant). He told me (before telling his family or anyone else) that he had already decided to quit – he couldn’t stand to see the level of corruption & violence in the department.

THAT’S A GOOD COP, THE ONLY KIND THERE IS!!!!!

    2. *** Being shot in the face goes beyond the pale… ***

Pigs shoot people in the face, and in all other body parts, on a routine basis. Occasionally this is justified, but in many other cases the shooting occurs as a consequence of an attempt to arrest someone for a crime that should not be a crime at all. And sometimes the shooting is just an act of cowardice, an unwillingness to accept any risk on the job.

*** i hope you all never need rescued by a policeman. ***

An individual in the US is far more likely to need to be rescued FROM a policeman. I believe America holds around 20% of the world’s prison population, and a huge percentage of the inmates in those hellish dungeons never hurt anyone in any nonconsensual manner.

Meanwhile, most people are perfectly capable of protecting themselves and other innocent people around them. If they need to rely on police, then that’s probably because they’re in a situation where a mob of armed enforcement goons might arrest or shoot them because some politicians decided that the Second Amendment doesn’t apply in a certain part of the country.

*** There have always been Rogue Cops, but they are specificly trained by the Homeland Sec Dept, FBI and Natl Guard to be more aggressive, throw in PTSD from whatever situation one may have been in, i dont know there are many things to look thru. ***

The only “rogue cops” I ever hear about are the occasional decent ones who quit in disgust after suffering a crisis of conscience. The rest are all part of the same evil gang that exists to enforce the will of power-mad politicians and bureaucrats in exchange for money extorted from the public.

As for PTSD and such, we could just as easily think up excuses for the gang-bangers, the child molesters, the Mafia hitmen, and all other common criminals. “He grew up in a fatherless household.” “He had no real family growing up other than the Crips.” “His uncle molested him.” “He became a concentration camp guard because of lifelong state propaganda.”

Sorry, no sale. Adults of sound mind (i.e., not mentally retarded or clinically insane) are responsible for their own choices and actions.

      *** I have had Family who were Cops… ***

Frankly, that’s irrelevant (except as an indication of your bias). Every single person who has ever walked the face of this earth, including the worst mass-murderers and monstrous psychopaths to ever exist, had loved ones at some point in his or her life. That makes no difference. Right is right, wrong is wrong, and injustice is injustice, regardless of who does it: your family members, my family members, or whomever.

In fact, if I had family members who were cops in the US today, I still wouldn’t be able to blame someone who used lethal force against them to defend against (or avenge) an arrest for the violation of any tyrannical, unjust law. It’s no different from how it would be if my mother, father, or brother decided to rob someone and ended up getting shot in self-defense. I’d be sad about their death, but I would have no grounds to blame the shooter.

*** …they would lay down their life for you. ***

I have extreme doubts about that.

First, “officer safety” and “going home at the end of my shift” appears to be Priority Number One in every cop’s head, and there is no shortage of incidents in which a pig shot someone simply because the pig thought the person MIGHT have had a gun. It’s common for the pigs to risk or take the lives of citizens in order to protect their own lives, even when the risk to their own lives is minimal.

Second, why would I think any cop would lay down his life for me when all of them would gladly arrest me for a victimless crime, thus ruining my life when I did no consensual harm to anyone? They’re not even willing to turn a blind eye to victimless drug, gun, prostitution, and gambling offenses, yet we’re to believe that they care so much for people that they’d sacrifice their lives?

Maybe they can start showing how much they care by ceasing to harm their fellow man by enforcing tyrannical laws for a paycheck. And then maybe they can do something to atone for the ghastly things they did as politicians’ mercenaries, like break up families because someone dared to get high without government permission.

  5. “McManus said he doesn’t believe the suspect has any relationship to the original motorist who was pulled over, and no motive has been identified.”

I guess the unabated murder of Americans on daily basis by these pukes doesn’t qualify as a motive.

  6. The word is COLOR REVOLUTION
It is hear the left is doing it and over throw the Trump Administration is the Objective. They will turn on the people they curse at they will kill them.
This will get very dangerous for those who are not in Government. I dont want to leave the fed gov out of this but many of the vindictive left are in gov going this or will do this. It will be Internationalist vs Nationalist in a bloody mess.
Hang on folks and what your back
