Alabama, Arizona, Delaware, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Utah are considering legislation to put an end to the anchor baby boom. If any illegal pregnant woman can make it across our border before she gives birth that child is granted automatic citizenship. The theory being that the 14th Amendment grants citizenship to anyone born here. Right or wrong aside, the 14th Amendment was passed to grant citizenship to the children of African slaves who had been living in this country for generations and were brought here against their will. And that was the right thing to do.
The so called anchor babies fall under international law, which asserts any person born abroad retains the citizenship of his or her parents. I believe the Democrats are so desperate to keep Obama in office that they are willing to give to the illegals anything they want for their votes. Even if the things they are giving away are not theirs to give.
As American citizens we all in essence own a little piece of this great country. It is our property. As U.S. citizens we cannot be relieved of our property except through due process of the law. This means only a court can take real property from a United States citizen.
This massive giveaway of property belonging to the citizens of the United States to foreign nationals is being accomplished through an interpretation of a congressional act. It in no way takes into account the rights of lawful United States citizens.
It would seem this matter would logically have to end up before the Supreme Court. And once the international law is brought forth the 14th Amendment can no longer be used as a justification for this complicity to invasion.
The people backing the allowance of anchor babies and the push for legalization for millions that have crossed our border in violation of our laws are traitors. They are among the very wealthy who live in million dollar houses and gated communities with private security. Thus they get all of the benefits of illegal immigration (cheap labor and votes) without having to deal with the problems it causes for the rest of us.
I do not want to seem heartless and like to think that I hold no ill will towards any person in reference to their race, creed, or color, but it is like this. There are a couple of billion people in the third world that would come here and take everything we have if there was nothing to deter them. I’m sorry, but this country is ours, we were here first. Go back from whence you came and may God bless you and guide you in making your own country prosperous.
Good article I don’t understand our gov. way of thinking but I do know that they spend over $338.3 Billion a year on these people and these women know what they are doing when they get pregnent here it’s called a free ride at the taxpayers expense.
