Much has been written about the unchecked influx of migrants into Europe recently. As the EU promotes the warm, fuzzy, “inclusive” policies that are overwhelming countries with immigrants, some of those countries are bluntly starting to say, “no more.” At the same time, other countries seem to be quietly preparing for…something… without being quite so forthcoming about the event for which they are readying themselves.

Millions of refugees and asylum seekers, primarily from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Somalia are flowing into Europe, largely unchecked. This is because of a welcoming “open door” policy promoted by German Chancellor Angela Merkel back in 2015. Despite the backlash from Europeans, Merkel says she has “no regrets.”  Continue reading “These European Countries Are Refusing to Accept the Unchecked Influx of Migrants”

After the meeting between North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and US President Donald Trump seemed to end on an optimistic note, one may have hoped that our fears of a nuclear attack would subside. Not so, according to The New Yorker, who published an article entitled, “This Is What a Nuclear Attack on New York Would Look LIke.”

While the timing may seem odd, it’s important to note that feelings are mixed about the North Korea-US summit.  Some are pleased and feel that a great deal was accomplished, while others are unhappy – even angry – that Trump made nice with a brutal dictator.  Continue reading “Here’s What Would Happen If a Nuclear Bomb Was Detonated on the Ground in NYC”

Over the past few years, here in America….

Contaminated water caused a complete loss of municipal services in both Ohio and West Virginia, resulting in almost a million people vying for the stock in local stores.

A freak confluence of storms caused a “Superstorm” that took out power to much of the Eastern Seaboard, including New York City and the coastal parts of New Jersey. Nearly a year later, some families were still without electricity to their homes. Continue reading “The First 10 Things Every New Prepper Should Do (Some of Them Are Free!)”

Last weekend when I wrote about the new bills that were turned into law in California by a mercifully-departing Governor Jerry Brown, I never expected a hub-bub. I did my research, came to some conclusions, and titled my article, “Now It’s Illegal to Have a Shower and Do Laundry on the Same Day.” That’s the link if you want to read it first. Fact-checkers Snopes and Politifact said I was a big fat liar, but let’s take a look at their “facts,” shall we?

Contrary to popular belief, no kittens were sacrificed to the devil in the writing of that article. I just sat down, did a little research, and came to some conclusions that in my eyes were (and still are) entirely reasonable. However, Snopes and Politifact disagreed rather vehemently. (About the conclusions, not the kittens. The kittens actually were a figment of my imagination, unlike anything in the article they “debunked.)  Continue reading “Fact-Checking the “Fact-Checkers”: Snopes & Politifact Said I’m a Big Fat Liar, But Let’s Look at THEIR “Facts””

Something has been happening in Venezuela these last few days: the seizing of cattle, food, and staples from the production sites, by the so-called “authorities” that are not such. In the past years, factories such as GM and Kimberly Clark were seized by the government, and many other means of production have been taken from citizens. Then, they fell into disrepair and production stopped in many cases.   Continue reading “The Government WILL Take Your Supplies: Venezuela is Seizing Cattle and Inventory”

A few weeks back, the government of Sweden sent out a booklet to every household in the country urging citizens to prepare for war or other crises. A few months back, they told citizens that they should be prepared to last for at least a week without any help from the government. Last night, in the most unsettling move yet, they mobilized the entire Swedish Home Guard for an “unannounced preparedness exercise.” All 40 battalions have been activated, effective immediately.   Continue reading “The ENTIRE Swedish Home Guard Was Just Mobilized”

Remember earlier in the year when the news was abuzz about Day Zero in Cape Town, South Africa?  According to the press at the time, the day was looming when the city of 3.74 million people would run completely out of water. First, the date of Day Zero was heralded as April 16th, then May 11th, then June 4th.

Calculating Day Zero took into account maximum evaporation (based on temperature and wind) and existing patterns in agricultural and urban use—an equation that considered both natural and man-made conditions. (source)

If you think Agenda 21 was bad, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Wait until you learn what the creepily utopian 2030 Agenda has in store for us all.

Once again Germany has stepped forward with their ideas of how to speed up the arrival of a one-world government.   Continue reading “Forget Agenda 21: UN’s 2030 Agenda Will ‘Transform the World’”

Sometimes mainstream news outlets talk about historical disasters and make it seem like they’re “one-off” events. But really, it couldn’t be further from the truth. Our planet has a long history of life-altering disasters, and it’s a history that we can learn from now.

Preppers understand that disasters can happen and have a much more realistic on the scope of those catastrophes than the average person who is busy keeping up with the Kardashians. For your reference, here’s a brief history of the life-altering disasters that have been recorded and predicted. Go through the links and when you’re reading, click the other links to read more if this type of disaster is likely to strike in your area. Learn from historical events to be better prepared for future ones.  Continue reading “A Brief History of Life Altering Disasters”

Governor Jerry Brown is retiring but not before he passes a few draconian laws as parting gifts for California. Two bills were signed into law on Thursday of last week to “help California be better prepared for future droughts and the effects of climate change.”

The mandatory water conservation standards will be permanent, according to their wording, and not just for use in times of crisis. To make a long story short, now that these bills are law, it’s illegal to take a shower and do a load of laundry in the same day because you’ll exceed your “ration.”   Continue reading “Now It’s Against the Law in California to Shower and Do Laundry on the Same Day”

In 2018, there have been at least 4 false alarms that have drummed up panic for no reason at all. It makes you wonder, what’s with all these false alarms? And how can we actually trust an alert that comes to our phone from the Emergency Alert System at all?  Continue reading “What’s With All the False Alarm Warnings from the Emergency Alert System Lately?”

In China, where firearms are tightly restricted, it’s probably no surprise that those who want to hurt people found another way to do it. The dramatic rise of knife attacks around the world shows that the problem these days isn’t with guns. It’s with people.

Mass knife attacks have become so common over the years that a Chinese police department recently released a video to teach citizens how to defend themselves against knife-wielding assailants and it has gone viral, with 16 million views in just a few days. It has subtitles and some great advice that even I would be able to follow.   Continue reading “The Rise of Mass Knife Attacks Around the World Shows the Problem Isn’t Guns. It’s People.”

The official death toll in Puerto Rico from Hurricane Maria is only 64 people. With the devastation wrought last September by the powerful storm, many people questioned the veracity of that number. And it looks like they may have had good cause. A new report from the New England Journal of Medicine puts the number at 70 times more than that – they estimate that 4645 people perished due to the hurricane, and say that this is a very conservative estimate.   Continue reading “Hurricane Maria Death Toll 70 TIMES MORE Than We Were Told”

Sometimes, even regular journalists, who are used to write about bad stuff as much as writing about good news, face nasty events that have to be documented, registered and broadcasted.

It´s my guess that writers develop, on time, a thick layer of skin to resist all the things they see and experience. I am not used to some of the gross reality checks that I have found as collateral damage of this collapse. After becoming a father, some kind of internal re-wiring changes in the brain structure. A new Ebola outbreak is on the radar in the Congo and just over a week ago had reached a city of more than a million people. Well, things likely got a whole lot worse over the weekend when family members of 3 infectious patients with confirmed cases of Ebola broke them out of quarantine and took them to a prayer meeting with at least 50 people. That may seem like it’s a long way from the US but read on.   Continue reading “Here’s How This Ebola Outbreak Could Potentially Reach the US”

Preppers and Spam go together like peas and carrots, right?  Well, for some preppers, anyway. And if you’re one of them, you need to go check your stockpile right now.

Hormel has recalled 228,614 pounds of the canned lunchmeat loaf because it may be contaminated with metal fragments. There have been complaints of minor oral injuries, but nothing more serious at this time.   Continue reading “Check Your Stockpile: 228,614 pounds of SPAM Recalled”

Urban survival vs. rural survival is a near-constant debate in preparedness circles. Those who live on acreage sometimes scoff at those who live in cities for reasons of business, education, or families. Those who live in the cities feel obligated to defend their choices. The truth of the matter is that there IS no perfect plan, and even if you had one, SHTF might have other ideas. In this reality check, Selco explains how even the best survival plans can go horribly wrong when the SHTF. ~ Daisy   Continue reading “Urban Survival vs. Rural Survival: Selco Explains How Even the Best Plans Can Go Horribly Wrong”

The economic collapse of Argentina in 2001 is the stuff of prepper legends. For years, it was the example that we pointed to when trying to convince others that, yes, it really can happen. (Now, of course, that example has been replaced by the dramatic fall of Venezuela.) There’s even a book about the Argentinian collapse that has fueled many a prepper to get stocked up, in which Fernando Aguirre, also known as FerFal, shared the inside story.   Continue reading “Argentina Is Suddenly on the Verge of Another Economic Collapse”

The government of Sweden has produced a 20-page pamphlet which they’ll be sending to each of the 4.8 million households in the country urging them to get prepared for…WAR.

Although they haven’t been at war for over 200 years, for some reason, right now, they want their citizens to get prepped – and fast. This goes along with an article I wrote in January of 2018 when the government urged their people to be ready to cope “without help” for at least a week.  Continue reading “Sweden Warns Every Single Household to Prep for WAR”
