SEATTLE –  A judge refused to release a Stanwood man from federal custody on Monday after the FBI suggested he could have links to domestic terrorism.

Schuyler Barbeau is charged with possessing an unregistered firearm.

SIOUX FALLS, SD – Two people are behind bars after their neighbors made an alarming discovery inside their apartment.

A man found a bullet hole inside his apartment wall and later found a bullet in his mattress.  He called police and they searched the neighbor’s townhome in southeast Sioux Falls where they found over 100 guns and explosive devices. The San Bernardino County coroner on Thursday released the names of the 14 victims, ranging in age from 26 to 60, of Wednesday’s shooting rampage in California.

“This shooting has caused each victims family, friends and co-workers, along with the first responders, to suffer an enormous personal tragedy. The following organizations have lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun organizations. In many instances, these organizations lent their name in support of specific campaigns to pass anti-gun legislation such as the March 1995 HCI “Campaign to Protect Sane Gun Laws.” Many of these organizations were listed as “Campaign Partners,” for having pledged to fight any efforts to repeal the Brady Act and the Clinton “assault weapons” ban. US Bankruptcy Court – Central District of California

The City of San Bernardino filed for bankruptcy protection under chapter 9 of the United States Bankruptcy Code on August 1, 2012. The case was filed in the Court’s Riverside Division and was assigned case number 6:12-bk-28006. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has designated Judge Meredith A. A San Francisco police officer whose good-looks earned him a bevy of admirers and the nickname “Hot Cop of Castro” was arrested early Sunday for allegedly driving into two pedestrians and fleeing the scene, authorities said.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Israel said on Sunday it was suspending contacts with European Union bodies involved in peace efforts with the Palestinians after the bloc started requiring the labeling of exports from Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

(Reuters) – Residents and authorities in a rural upstate New York community were taking precautions after an Arizona man posted a video online showing himself with a gun and saying he was traveling to the town for a possible confrontation, according to media reports.

Jon Ritzheimer, of Phoenix, Arizona, was seen with a gun and claiming that he was heading to Islamberg, a rural hamlet that is home to a small Muslim community about 130 miles northwest of New York City, the reports said. WEST HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) — When a U.S. Navy veteran traveled from Long Island to Florida for a knee replacement, his house was the last thing on his mind. But now his memory of it is all he can think about.

Philip Williams’ home was demolished in the spring by town officials while he spent about six months recuperating from surgical complications in Fort Lauderdale.
