More than 150 Hells Angels, other bikers block road during police showdown on Vancouver Island12160

More than 150 motorcyclists — including members of Hells Angels — flouted police authority Saturday when the group refused to stop at a roadside check on Vancouver Island.

According to Sgt. Lindsey Houghton, police had information that the bikers would participate in a group ride Saturday and set out to conduct safety checks. Police officers from the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C. and other integrated road safety units then gathered near Duncan to monitor and halt the large group of motorcyclists, who had plans to travel from Nanaimo to Victoria on the Island Highway.   Continue reading “More than 150 Hells Angels, other bikers block road during police showdown on Vancouver Island”

APRIL 27, 2012, APPLE RIVER, IL – The little town of Apple River in northeast Jo Daviess County, Illinois is the hometown of a big man – Terrence Ingram. Though not big in a physical sense, when it comes to saving the American Bald Eagle, there is hardly anyone in the United States held in higher regard than Ingram. His years of documented research and expertise regarding eagles and the work of the Eagle Nature Foundation, founded by Ingram, is in great part responsible for the bald eagle being removed from the “Threatened Species List “ in the United States.   Continue reading “Heart of the Matter – Ingram Gets His Day In Court – Three Weeks Late”

Here are 10 behaviors that will identify you as homo ovis, a new mutant breed of beings devolving, who outwardly appear human but behave more and more as herd animals. One in 10 Americans takes antidepressants. Maybe that’s why we’re so passive.

We must be too drugged to feel, much less express, rage. How else to explain why furious mobs haven’t burned the banks to the ground?   Continue reading “Lose a House, Get $300 – Why aren’t rioters burning down the banks?”

Is the current Flu epidemic the next great worldwide flu pandemic? It appears to be still too early to make that call, but the current outbreak appears to be rapidly spreading and the next pandemic is overdue. While this particular flu does not appear to be as deadly as the HN51 avian flu that has had the world nervously watching for the past few years, or the horrific Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918-19, it nevertheless appears to be a potent killer and it is chilling to note that the new flu evidently contains four different influenza strains, including an avian flu (along with two swine flu strains and one influenza A strain).   Continue reading “How to Beat and Avoid the Flu”

My Medical Appointment

I visited a physician last week. It was a “new” doctor in the practice–a young lady (at MY age, EVERYBODY is “young”–when I was born, the Dead Sea wasn‘t even sick) who was quite enthusiastic. She was obviously a liberal by her dress and manner. I was thinking of hitting on her, but I don’t like the phrase, “You remind me of my grandfather.”   Continue reading “Report of Dr.’s Appointment by Col Marty of the USMC”
