In an incredibly backwards display of irony, the union representing the Pittsburgh police has filed a most unusual lawsuit. A civil rights grievance has been filed against the city, claiming that officers being required to undergo mandatory drug testing is not only a violation of their contract, but of the Constitution as well.

Curiously enough, it appears that this unconstitutionality only applies to police officers, not to the public that they are meant to protect and serve. The officers’ argument is that a urine drug analysis constitutes an “illegal search and seizure,” and police would be forced to “forfeit their constitutional rights to protect the city from a civil liability.”  Continue reading “Police Say It’s Unconstitutional to Mandate Drug Tests on Officers”

SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) — Pope Francis accused victims of Chile’s most notorious pedophile of slander Thursday, an astonishing end to a visit meant to help heal the wounds of a sex abuse scandal that has cost the Catholic Church its credibility in the country.

Francis said that until he sees proof that Bishop Juan Barros was complicit in covering up the sex crimes of the Rev. Fernando Karadima, such accusations against Barros are “all calumny.”   Continue reading “Pope shocks Chile by accusing sex abuse victims of slander”

LOS ANGELES (AP) — City officials couldn’t find any records that the fire marshal conducted required annual inspections at a California home that doubled as a private school where authorities say 13 malnourished siblings were kept captive in filthy conditions by their parents.

On Wednesday, a state lawmaker for the area said he’s considering introducing legislation requiring state officials to conduct at least annual walkthroughs of schools.  Continue reading “Lawmaker seeks home school oversight after 13 found captive”

LEADING CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS have spent the last year relentlessly accusing Donald Trump of being controlled by or treasonously loyal to a hostile foreign power. Over the last several months, they have added to those disloyalty charges a new set of alleged crimes: abusing the powers of the executive branch — including the Justice Department and FBI — to vindictively punish political opponents while corruptly protecting the serious crimes of his allies, including his own family members and possibly himself.   Continue reading “The Same Democrats Who Denounce Donald Trump as a Lawless, Treasonous Authoritarian Just Voted to Give Him Vast Warrantless Spying Powers”

The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled: it will not hear the case of Young v. Borders.

Despite the fact that a 26-year-old man was gunned down by police who banged on the wrong door at 1:30 am, failed to identify themselves as police, and then repeatedly shot and killed the innocent homeowner who answered the door while holding a gun in self-defense, the justices of the high court refused to intervene to address police misconduct.  Continue reading “Justice Denied: The Government Is Not Going to Save Us”

If you hate Muslims, love guns, and are giddy at the prospect of a holy war pitting Christians versus Muslims, then there’s only one logical thing to do: Run for governor of Arkansas.

Actually, there are other things you could do with that pedigree, such as appear regularly on Fox News or write for Breitbart. And Jan Morgan has done all that and more. And now this Republican activist wants to “Make Arkansas Great Again!”   Continue reading “She Banned Muslims Before Trump. Now She Wants to Be Governor.”

It sounds like an urban legend: A 60-year-old man bent to pick something up outside a subway station in Stockholm.

It exploded, blowing up his hand and killing him.

Los Angeles, CA — A video uploaded to Facebook last week shows the ridiculous nature of the American police state.

According to the video uploader, the police in the video below came to this house because they saw a teenager riding his bike with no hands and without a helmet. Not wanting to be kidnapped or killed, the teenager rode his bike home after he saw the police.   Continue reading “This is What an Arrest for a Bicycle Helmet “Violation” Looks Like in a Police State”

Topeka, KS — A 911 call over a disturbance in a local park would come to a violent end as police opened fire on a fleeing man earlier this year. The two officers would dump multiple rounds into the man’s back, killing him. After police investigated themselves, this week, the officers who fired their weapons, killing 30-year-old Dominique White have been justified in their use of force.

The incident began on the morning of Septemeber 28 at 9:20 a.m. when officers with the Topeka police department said someone called to report shots being fired during a disturbance in Ripley Park. Police said the caller noted that both of the people involved in the disturbance were still in the park.   Continue reading “Disturbing Video Shows Cops Shoot Fleeing Man in the Back, Killing Him—No Charges”

As previously reported, despite United Airlines apologizing to the woman who purchased a first class ticket aboard one of their flights, only to be re-seated because the Queen of England Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee wanted to sit first class, the race-baiting Congresswoman believes no apology was owed.

Shortly after this apology and a $500 credit were issued by United, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee went on a Twitter tirade where she claimed that the entire incident is just about race, naturally.   Continue reading “Hah! Maybe the reason why the cops aren’t following through on these rape kits is because some of the over 800 rapists they have in that city are COPS? That’s what I’d be wondering if they aren’t getting them done.

Detroit, Michigan — A team led by Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy has devoted countless hours over the last 8 years to test a backlog of more than 11,300 rape kits that were found in a police storage warehouse. As a result, they have found that nearly 1,000 serial rapists assaulted multiple victims, and because of the inefficiency of Detroit Police, the rapists were never charged.   Continue reading “Prosecutors Finally Look at Neglected Rape Kits and Found Cops Let 817 Serial Rapists Walk Free”
