A week after abruptly canceling plans to attend the United Nations climate summit in Scotland, California Gov. Gavin has receded from public view to deal with unspecific “family obligations,” reports the AP.

When the surprising announcement was made Oct. 29, his office said Newsom planned to participate virtually in the conference this week. But he did not. Spokesperson Erin Mellon now says he will appear virtually next week, said the AP.  Continue reading “Cal. Gov. Gavin Newsom Appears to be Suffering From a Bad Reaction to Covid 19 Booster”

It’s highly unlikely that the United States, let alone the world, will be able to completely eliminate the coronavirus that causes Covid-19.

But there will come a day when it’s no longer a pandemic, when cases are no longer out of control and hospitals aren’t at great risk of overflowing with patients. Many experts predict the spread of coronavirus will look and feel more like seasonal influenza. Continue reading “What the end of the Covid-19 pandemic could look like”

CHICAGO, Ill. — As the vaccine rollout for kids ages 5 to 11 begins to roll out, some parents may be confronted with children who might want to avoid a trip to the doctor’s office. An estimated 63% of children are afraid of needles, but technology is aiding families in reducing that fear and anxiety.

Like most 8-year-old kids, Molly Chandler dreads getting a shot at the doctor’s office. Continue reading “Virtual reality technology helping kids with extreme needle anxiety”

Police had to intervene after people protesting Covid-19 vaccine mandates and government restrictions clashed with counter-protesters over the weekend in Boston.

The organizers behind the main protest – dubbed ‘Rise Against Tyranny’ – said they were demonstrating against “vaccine passports, face diapers, mass layoffs, and unconstitutional mandates.” The counter-protesters tried to drown them out, playing loud music through speakers, as well as with the help of a full brass band.  Continue reading “People protesting vaccine mandates square off with counter-rally in Boston”

I write this on the heels of a concert gone terribly wrong. The Astroworld Festival where young people suffered injury and death. Aside from my disdain for those who are responsible for what went wrong, I am thinking of the attendees and how many of them have been led into a place of what I can only call dark energy. Nothing wholesome to be found there.

I feel for teenagers. Many do not get the proper attention that they need. Some who haven’t the strong guidance of loving parents can easily slip through the cracks as they are coming of age and seeking out avenues of freedom and exploration. If only the learning of The Bill of Rights was a right-of-passage for them, where respect for The 10 Articles was firmly established. We’ve lost the civics lessons of old, lost that which combines freedom with responsibility, self-determinism with respect for the self-determinism of others. I know there are parents who are instilling such knowledge in their children, but sadly, many are not.  Continue reading “Teenagers”

Denmark, WI — As TFTP so often reports, blue privilege is extended to even the vilest of officers who prey on society’s most vulnerable. As pot dealers go to jail for decades, disgraced cops who abuse children often walk free and in some instances even keep their jobs. Disgraced police chief, Alexander Bebris, was one of these cops who proved that his blue privilege was just another reason to continue preying on children. DALLAS (KTVT) — The Dallas Zoo says necropsy results from the recent deaths of two giraffes point to liver damage, suggesting a possible exposure to a toxin of some sort, either through a food source, in the exhibit space, or introduced via a foreign object.

“We still have intense work ahead of us to find a possible link between these two deaths and determine what may have led to this. The lab results we depend on for diagnosis and confirmation simply cannot come fast enough – for us, and for you. We know it’s difficult to hear about these losses,” zoo officials shared via their Facebook page. Continue reading “Dallas Zoo suspects recent giraffe deaths connected, possible exposure to toxin”

The World Health Organization (WHO) on Wednesday called for the urgent development of a vaccine against a bacterial infection responsible for nearly 150,000 stillbirths and infant deaths each year.

A fresh report by the UN health agency and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine found that the impact of Group B Streptococcus infection (GBS), which is estimated to live harmlessly in the intestinal tracts of up to a third of all adults, is a far bigger cause of preterm births and disability than previously thought.  Continue reading “A Vaccine Is Urgently Needed For Infection Killing 150,000 Babies Annually, WHO Warns”
