Beijing (AsiaNews) – A picture of Chinese Vice-President Wang Qishan has received world-wide coverage. It shows the close ally of Chinese President Xi Jinping with his eyes shut, head covered, resting his hands on the stones of the Western or Wailing Wall, in the Jewish section of Jerusalem, in the manner every pious Jew prays for the coming of the Messiah. On June 28, 2019, Qingshan Li landed in Southern California on a flight from China. Li, a Chinese national visiting the US on a tourist visa, was scheduled to return home 10 days later.
The day after he arrived, Li drove his rental car to a storage facility in the San Diego area. There, he met up with an unidentified person named in court filings only as “AB,” from whom Li had arranged to purchase several pieces of sensitive military gear. Barron’s reported Sunday that Clinton has profited handsomely as a board member for IAC/InterActiveCorp, a media and internet investment company that has an ownership stake in 150 well-known brands, such as Vimeo, Tinder, Angie’s List and Home Advisor. A new study from the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University has estimated that U.S. taxpayers have spent $6.4 trillion on wars and military actions in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia since September 11, 2001. This is far more than the government spends on all its other expenses for an entire year. In fact, this is about $2 trillion more than the $4.4 that was allotted for the entire federal budget last year, according to the Treasury Department. U.S.A. –-(Ammoland.com)- Oregon’s Legislature may not convene until early next month, but already battle lines are forming over a trio of measures a faith-based gun control lobbying group is proposing that includes raising the minimum age to purchase firearms to 21 years.
A group calling itself Lift Every Voice Oregon (LEVO) consists of leaders from different faiths, according to a report at KTVZ. The Australian bushfires are said to be the worst in memory. Hundreds of square miles have already burned, and the country is still in the midst of a dry hot summer.

The senior general and commander of the Revolutionary Guards Quds Force, responsible for Iranian military operations abroad, was killed in a US drone strike early Friday morning, ramping up tensions between Tehran and Washington.
The Middle East Media Research Institute has dug up year-and-a-half-old footage of a speech given by Maj. Gen. Qasem Soleimani in which the Quds Force commander blasts US President Donald Trump over his “idiotic” Twitter comments and warns the US against starting a conflict with Iran. His mangled face and unconscious body found lying on the floor in a jail shower were a mystery according to the officers and this would be their story until a leaked video caught them all in a lie.
