With all the attention paid to Facebook in recent weeks over ‘data breaches’ and privacy violations (even though what happened with Cambridge Analytica is part of their standard business model), it’s easy to forget that there are four other Big Tech corporations collecting just as much — if not more — of our personal info. Google, Amazon, Apple, and Microsoft are all central players in “surveillance capitalism” and prey on our data. New reports suggest that Google may actually harvest ten times as much as Facebook. If everything keeps falling apart in Massachusetts, there won’t be a drug conviction left in the state. The eventual fallout from the 2012 conviction of drug lab technician Annie Dookhan was the reversal of nearly 21,000 drug convictions. Dookhan was an efficient drug lab worker — so efficient she often never performed the tests she was required to. The state moved much slower, dragging its feet notifying those possibly affected by Dookhan’s lab misconduct until a judge told it to stop screwing around. There still could be more reversed convictions on the way as the state continues to make its way through a 40,000-case backlog. Who are we and what do we believe?
We, the members of the International Criminals Union, declare our position that all free and sovereign nations unite to ban the possession of firearms by law-abiding citizens.
It is our belief that our profession becomes more dangerous without strong and strict laws to regulate and prevent law-abiding citizens from possessing firearms. When only criminals and police can own a firearm our union’s potential for growth will be unsurpassed. Continue reading “Criminals for Gun Control”

Sam Carpenter is on a mission to Make Oregon Great Again. The self made businessman is capitalizing on the Trump momentum, even marketing “Make Oregon Great Again” hats in the style of University of Oregon Ducks and Oregon State University Beavers for his campaign for Governor. Earlier this year, a Michigan State University economist, working with graduate students and a former government official, found $21 trillion in unauthorized spending in the departments of Defense and Housing and Urban Development for the years 1998-2015.
The work of Mark Skidmore and his team, which included digging into government websites and repeated queries to U.S. agencies that went unanswered, coincided with the Office of Inspector General, at one point, disabling the links to all key documents showing the unsupported spending. (Luckily, the researchers downloaded and stored the documents.) According to the FDA’s online Biologics Blood Vaccines document, a vaccine manufacturer admits on its package insert that their vaccination can cause autism as one of many adverse reactions.
These adverse events reported during post-approval use of Tripedia vaccine include idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, SIDS, anaphylactic reaction, cellulitis, autism, convulsion/grand mal convulsion, encephalopathy, hypotonia, neuropathy, somnolence and apnea. Events were included in this list because of the seriousness or frequency of reporting. Because these events are reported voluntarily from a population of uncertain size, it is not always possible to reliably estimate their frequencies or to establish a causal relationship to components of Tripedia vaccine. CBS Local — Lockheed Martin has reportedly been working on a revolutionary new type of reactor that can power anything from cities to aircraft carriers.
The Maryland-based defense contractor recently received a patent for the compact fusion reactor (CFR) after filing plans for the device in 2014. According to reports, one generator would be as small as a shipping container but produce the energy to power 80,000 homes or one of the U.S. Navy’s Nimitz-class carriers. The US gives Israel record military aid annually, and that aid is always growing. One of the biggest avenues for growth is funding for Israel’s missile defense systems. This year, Congress has committed $705 million to this scheme, up from just about $550 million last year.
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman issued a statement of thanks to the US Congress for the funding, saying that Israel’s enemies would be “surprised” at how good the missile defense systems work with all this money. Firearms History, Technology & Development
In today’s post, we will study an early machine gun: the Puckle Gun. We’d first mentioned this gun many months ago, when we studied the history of revolvers. We will now study this firearm in more detail.
The Puckle gun was invented by a London based lawyer named James Puckle, who had an interest in firearm design. He received a patent for his design in 1718. Continue reading “The Puckle Gun”
