BANGKOK – Thailand’s prime minister said Monday she is willing to do anything it takes to end violent protests against her government and restore peace, but cannot accept the opposition’s “unconstitutional” demand to hand power to an unelected council.

A National Rifle Association affiliate says Massachusetts is “abusing” law-abiding citizens by delaying the issuance of firearm licenses beyond the time frame outlined by state law.
The Gun Owners Action League (GOAL), which represents 16,000 members in Massachusetts and is the official state affiliate of the NRA, reports that many people applying for licenses have been experiencing long delays. Despite some early confusion introduced by an interviewer with an agenda, the pope’s words and actions relating to abortion, gay marriage, contraception, the ordination of women, and more clearly have taken him out of that camp as far as social doctrine is concerned. According to this just released report from the Information Telegraph Agency of Russia (ITAR-TASS) which is translated here, the remnants of Comet ISON are slowing down and have changed direction. An intensification of meteor showers is expected as a ‘Christmas gift’ and a ‘meteorite falling to Earth’ cannot be excluded due to the slowing down of the comet and a general scattering of the comets’ prior composition. Police on Long Island have accused a deli owner and his son of trying to cheat a millon-dollar lottery winner out of the vast majority of his rightful prize.
According to police, a 34-year-old man who did not speak English went to the Peninsula Deli and Grocery in Hempstead, N.Y. Thursday to claim his winnings. When 26-year-old clerk Karim Jaghab scanned the card, he got a message reading “”File claim: jackpot winner – please return original ticket to the customer along with a claim receipt,” which meant that the man had won $1 million. An aide to Corker, R-Tenn., confirms to Fox News Corker is considering a proposal that would prohibit the White House from loosening sanctions on the Iranian regime unless it made major concessions on its missile and nuclear programs. The Obama administration is set to pulverize 6 tons of ivory with a rock crusher in a bid to send a worldwide message that the U.S. does not accept poaching.
