AT&T Announces $1 Billion in Capital Spending and $1000 Bonuses for More Than 200,000 U.S. Employees
AT&T plans to invest an additional $1 billion in the U.S. in 2018 and pay a special bonus of $1,000 to more than 200,000 U.S. employees once the Republican tax reform bill is signed into law.

Police in the Swedish city of Malmo have retracted advice given to women in the city following the brutal gang-rape of a 17-year-old girl. The force advised women not to go out alone after dark following the vicious attack.
Officers issued the warning over the weekend following the assault, which occurred on Saturday, and marked the third such vicious rape committed by unknown perpetrators in the city in less than a month. Two foreign nationals operating a motel in Kimball, Nebraska pleaded guilty to harboring and exploiting an illegal alien from India who they forced to work for them without pay.
Vishnubhai Chaudhari, 50-years-old, and Leelabahen Chaudhari, 44-years-old, admitted to one count of conspiracy and one count of harboring an illegal alien for financial gain, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced. Republicans advanced to the one-yard line to pass historic tax reform as the Senate passed the final Tax Cut and Jobs Act on Tuesday, sending the bill to the House for final passage. President Donald Trump hopes to sign the bill before Christmas.

DENVER (AP) — Denver authorities shut down 26 legal marijuana businesses Thursday and arrested 12 people suspected of illegal distribution of pot after a yearlong criminal investigation.

Every year, Brooke Richardson, who teaches English as a second language to mostly low-income Hispanic students in Atlanta, turns to her own pocketbook to help her students. She has lost track of how many pencils, markers, notebooks and glue sticks she buys a year.
Then there are the marshmallows and cotton balls for hands-on projects.
