Gun Watch – by Dean Weingarten

A hat tip to joehuffman.org for pointing out the absurd in this article from ABCnews.   It quotes Shannon Watts as saying the following:

“I think the NRA should be very afraid of Americans, who’ve had enough of the gun violence in this country and in particular moms,” Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action and a board member for Everytown for Gun Safety, said. “Moms are afraid our children will be taken away and in the end, I think that’s the emotion that will win the debate.”

Senator Franken FeinsteinAmmoLand

BELLEVUE, WA – -(Ammoland.com)- Senator Feinstein’s semi-automatic firearms importation ban is picking up steam. Since she sent her letter to Obama calling for the importation ban, 82 anti-gun members of the House of Representatives have signed off on their own letter demanding for an importation ban.

Feinstein and her posse were responsible for the ant-gun movement in Congress for the first half of 2013. It is imperative we thwart the efforts of Feinstein and the anti-gunners she has recruited in the latest effort to push her personal agenda.   Continue reading “Feinstein’s Recruits Pushing Anti-Gun Agenda”

WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report)—In a landmark decision, the Supreme Court of the United States declared on Tuesday that lying by politicians is protected by the First Amendment because it is an expression of their religion.

By a 5–4 majority, the Court struck down an Ohio law that would make it harder to lie in political ads, arguing instead that “any attempt to restrict or punish lying by politicians is an unconstitutional infringement on a religion they have practiced for decades.”   Continue reading “Supreme Court Calls Lying By Politicians An Expression Of Their Religion”

They hoped to have a lot of smiling faces showing the nice side of the NYPD. As we reported last week, Attorney General Eric Holder recently testified on Capitol Hill that the country needs to spend $2 million to study “smart” gun technology, as part of a $382 million expenditure on what the Obama administration calls “gun safety.”

“Smart Guns” is a made-up term for a conceptual firearm that incorporates technology that theoretically permits the gun to be fired only by the authorized user.  Failed attempts to develop and market “smart guns” have been going on for years.   Continue reading “Sen. Cornyn sends letter to Holder demanding answers on DOJ’s proposal to push “Smart Guns””

Next Big Future

Median per capita income was $18,700 in the United States in 2010 (which translates to about $75,000 for a family of four after taxes), up 20 percent since 1980 but virtually unchanged since 2000, after adjusting for inflation. The same measure, by comparison, rose about 20 percent in Britain between 2000 and 2010 and 14 percent in the Netherlands. Median income also rose 20 percent in Canada between 2000 and 2010, to the equivalent of $18,700. Other income surveys, conducted by government agencies, suggest that since 2010 pay in Canada has risen faster than pay in the United States and is now most likely higher. Pay in several European countries has also risen faster since 2010 than it has in the United States.   Continue reading “America’s Middle Class is no longer the Richest in the World. Aspartame has been on the debate block for years as time and time again independent research reveals dangers associated with aspartame consumption, while industry funded research reveals no dangers. In a new study observing over 60,000 women, diet drinks containing aspartame consumed at 2 or more per day increased the risk of heart related illness by 50%. This is added to the list of studies that have shown aspartame causes fast paced kidney decline, brain and neurological damage, and is linked to increased rates of leukaemia and lymphoma and more.   Continue reading “The Age Of Aspartame May Be Coming To An End As More Health Risks Are Confirmed”

Attorney General Eric Holder announced Monday that the Justice Department will soon release new, more expansive criteria for recommending federal prisoner clemency applications for President Obama to review.  That means Obama, who has so far freed a paltry 10 prisoners early in his first six years could free “hundred, perhaps thousands” in its final two, a senior administration official told Yahoo News Monday.     Continue reading ““Hundreds, Perhaps Thousands” of Federal Drug Prisoners Could be Freed Under New Clemency Rules”

There is a new proposal in the State of California to prohibit judges from having membership ties with the Boy Scouts.

According to the ‘Ethics Advisory Committee’ of the state Supreme Court, the Boy Scouts are discriminatory against homosexuals and atheists so state judges should be free of any ties with that sort of organization.  Here’s the story from SFGate:   Continue reading “California: Proposal to Prohibit Judges with Ties to Boy Scouts”

What happened, and may continue happening at the Bundy Ranch in Nevada is resonating across the country, much to the panicked chagrin of the Mainstream Media.  Here’s a great clip of Assemblywoman Michele Fiore not backing down to the openly snide and derisive questioning of MSNBC’s Chris Hayes.
