Nuclear weapons have alternately been blamed for making the world less safe and making it more safe. As a grad school major in national security, I am personally of the opinion that nuclear weapons have kept the great powers from fighting a third and even fourth world war, since those who have them know they cannot “win” an all-out war without sustaining unacceptable damage themselves.

Indeed, good or bad, nuclear weapons became a cornerstone of national security policy during the Cold War, waged between the democratic governments of the West, led by the United States, against the communist and authoritarian governments of the East, led by the former Soviet Union. But did they have to be? What if someone in our own government helped our Cold War rival develop them?   Continue reading “History revisited: Top Roosevelt aide sent Stalin weapons-grade uranium to make bombs”

The question of what is reasonable under HOA regulations seems to have been answered, at least in the case of The Douglas County Housing Partnership and their reversal of a policy that was set to be imposed by Ross Management Group.

An emergency meeting of the housing authority was called in the wake of the outcry following a new notice to Oakwood Apartments in Castle Rock, Colorado which stipulated that owners would no longer be permitted to have guns in their residence as of October 1, 2013. A government created fear designed to enlist public support for controls, legislation, rules and regulation increasing government power, while reducing individual rights, is called a False Flag Event (FFE). The fear is usually something quite dramatic, like the bombing of Pearl Harbor or the decimation of the World Trade Centers. But, fear can also be insidious, fanning out slowly like carbon monoxide filling an unventilated garage while a motor vehicle is running.  Slow FFEs include promotional agendas regarding some anticipated dramatic violence such as propaganda hyped pandemics, or the eventual nuclear arming of Iran.   Continue reading “Drills, Props and Propaganda Predicting Large Scale False Flag Events”

Wake Up America – by Susan Duclos

Despite all the honest, good cops out there, recently there has been a slew of police brutality instances caught on camera, as is the example shown in the video below.

Brandie Redell, 34, was admittedly shoplifting, was caught and brought to the security offer where two Quad Cities police officers were present. Redell was on the phone and the cop rushes over to her, pushes her down and proceeds to start beating her.   Continue reading “Cops Beat Female Shoplifter – Caught On Camera”

Zero Hedge – by Tyler Durden

Earlier we reported that in an act of embarrassing political ineptitude not to mention detente reminiscent of the Cold War’s worst days, the US president did his best Freudian transference attempt today by blaming Putin for his ever escalating headaches caused by one 30 year old NSA whistleblower, and cancelling bilateral talks with the Russian president. And can anyone blame him: with the US increasingly slighted by both superascedent eastern powers, Russia and China, the US finds itself in a position in which it has never been – where foreign nations get to simply say “no.” Here is what else Russia is saying in the aftermath of Obama’s childish response.   Continue reading “Russia Responds To Obama Snub: “We Are Disappointed… But The Snowden Situation Wasn’t Created By Us””

Under civil forfeiture, Americans who haven’t been charged with wrongdoing can be stripped of their cash, cars, and even homes. Is that all we’re losing?

On a bright Thursday afternoon in 2007, Jennifer Boatright, a waitress at a Houston bar-and-grill, drove with her two young sons and her boyfriend, Ron Henderson, on U.S. 59 toward Linden, Henderson’s home town, near the Texas-Louisiana border. They made the trip every April, at the first signs of spring, towalk the local wildflower trails and spend time with Henderson’s father. This year, they’d decided to buy a used car in Linden, which had plenty for sale, and so they bundled their cash savings in their car’s center console. Just after dusk, they passed a sign that read “Welcome to Tenaha: A little town with BIG Potential!”   Continue reading “Taken: Under Civil Forfeiture, Americans Can be Stripped of their Cash, Cars, and Even Homes”
