A grassroots group with thousands of members is planning nationwide protests August 6 calling for President Obama’s impeachment.
The group, “Overpasses for Impeachment,” has gained steam since launching in mid-June and now appears to have a presence on all 50 states.

The editor of a Saudi Arabian social website has been sentenced to seven years in prison and 600 lashes for founding an Internet forum that violates Islamic values and propagates liberal thought, Saudi media reported on Tuesday.
Raif Badawi, who started the ‘Free Saudi Liberals’ website to discuss the role of religion in Saudi Arabia, has been held since June 2012 on charges of cyber crime and disobeying his father – a crime in the conservative kingdom and top U.S. ally. California–like its West Coast neighbors–is viewed as America’s marijuana mecca. It’s progressive cannabis policies have long made it the “wild, wild west” or “the promised land,” dependent upon your stance.
Likewise, California has the country’s highest concentration of legal medical marijuana dispensaries. Yet, that still has not stopped its law enforcement from putting patients and caregivers in cuffs and behind bars for their perceived sins. And the scale of these arrests is kind of shocking. The widow of this elderly man who was slain by police, says she is disgusted with the “trigger happy” officers, and she reports that she heard suspicious yelling from the police before was he was murdered. One of the last remaining, and original ‘Cocaine Cowboys’ has died as result of a heart attack in Medellin, Colombia. Juan David Ochoa, who along side his two brothers and Pablo Escobar, were the ‘founding fathers’ of the Medellin Drug Cartel.
The Ochoa brothers surrendered to Colombian authorities, giving up their drug trade in the early 1990′s. While the Ochoa’s were supposedly out of the drug racket, Escobar started a murderous war against the government, which ended in his own death at the hands of government officials years later. Saudi Arabia reportedly reaches a deal with Israeli army to buy Israeli weapons for militants fighting against the government of President Bashar al-Assad in Syria.

A Texas couple out for a nice afternoon with their horses ended up living through what must have seemed like the plot of a horror movie. They were attacked by a swarm of bees and were stung more than 250 times between them. The miniature horses they were with were stung so many times they died.

The Syrian Army says it has killed a large number of foreign-sponsored militants in and around Damascus and in the central city of Homs.
