An Internal Revenue Service official at the center of the agency’s political targeting scandal has reportedly been fired and has since “dropped off the edge of the world,” according to a new report from National Review Online.
Holly Paz, the director of the agency’s Rulings and Agreements office, was fired last Friday, according to the NRO report, and her agency-issued computer, phone, and Blackberry have shown no activity since.
“As of Thursday, the voice mail on Paz’s work phone remains active and callers are asked to leave a message for Paz, though nobody answered repeated calls placed to that number,” the report notes. The United States is considering imposing a no-fly zone in Syria, its first direct military intervention of the two-year-old civil war, Western diplomats said on Friday, after the White House saidSyria had crossed a “red line” by using nerve gas.

MOSCOW, June 12 (RIA Novosti) – A Russian parliamentary committee approved for review a new controversial anti-piracy law dubbed “the Russian SOPA” by critics after a similar US bill.

Over a 48 hour period between June 11 to June 13 25 people were killed with firearms in New York. Victims were from all over the city. Many people don’t know that there are thousands of agents of the Internal Revenue Service that are allowed to carry firearms anywhere they go. Apparently South Carolina Republican Jeff Duncan was one of them. As it happens, Duncan was surprised to find that on a visit to the IRS, he saw agents practicing with AR-15s (and perhaps as full auto machine guns, at that).
