WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. regulators on Thursday approved the use of new technology that will improve picture quality on mobile phones, tablets and television, but also raises significant privacy concerns by giving advertisers dramatically more data about viewing habits.

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission voted 3-2 to allow broadcasters to voluntarily use the new technology, dubbed ATSC 3.0, which would allow for more precise geolocating of television signals, ultra-high definition picture quality and more interactive programming, like new educational content for children and multiple angles of live sporting events.   Continue reading “FCC approves TV technology that gives better pictures but less privacy”

Play very close attention to this one. It’s boggling.

A reader recently sent me a note which alerted me to a form of programming I’d never heard of. The links he sent introduced me to what is a very widespread phenomenon on YouTube. The technology involved is beyond my limited understanding. Some of you will be able to clarify the “situation.”   Continue reading “YouTube cartoon videos programming toddlers for trauma and destruction”

Police in Mesquite, Texas, shot a burglary suspect and employed at least three officers in their attempt to arrest him, after they claimed he was trying to break into a pickup truck—but the unarmed man owned the truck he was sitting in, and he was trying to fix its malfunctioning alarm when he was approached the officers.

According to a report from CBS DFW, police were called to the area around 7 p.m. on Nov. 8 after an individual reported that someone set off a car alarm. While police claim there was “an altercation, a scuffle began and the individual ended up being shot,” they have yet to release any of the details about what specifically happened and when the officer opened fire.   Continue reading “Cops Accuse Innocent Man of Breaking Into His Own Truck—So They Shot Him, Twice”

As we noted shortly after the Crown Prince’s purge of potential rivals within Saudi Arabia’s sprawling ruling family, while the dozens of arrests were made under the pretext of an “anti-corruption crackdown”, Mohammed bin Salman’s ulterior motive was something else entirely: Replenishing the Kingdom’s depleted foreign reserves, which have been hammered for the past three years by low oil prices, with some estimating that the current purge could potentially bring in up to $800 billion in proceeds.   Continue reading “Saudi Arabia Offers Arrested Royals A Deal: Your Freedom For Lots Of Cash”

Las Vegas, NV – With the 24/7 news cycle constantly in full swing, important stories at times get lost in the constant onslaught of non-stop information. The mainstream media gatekeepers essentially dictate what social and cultural memes are injected into the public consciousness, what topics are discussed, and which cases are given publicity and thoroughly investigated with journalistic rigor.

With such oligarchical control of the mass media – the media gatekeepers of information decide what stories stay in the glare of the public spotlight, and which ones are allowed to fade from the headlines.

HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) — Zimbabwe’s army said Wednesday it has President Robert Mugabe and his wife in custody and is securing government offices and patrolling the capital’s streets following a night of unrest that included a military takeover of the state broadcaster.

The night’s action triggered speculation of a coup, but the military’s supporters praised it as a “bloodless correction.”

For the first time, this southern African nation is seeing the military oppose Mugabe, the world’s oldest head of state and one of the longest-serving authoritarian rulers. Mugabe has been in power since Zimbabwe’s independence from white minority rule in 1980.  Continue reading “Zimbabwe Army Has Mugabe, Wife in Custody, Controls Capital”

Just days after Democrat Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Ill.), became the third House Dem to file articles of impeachment, joining Trump antagonists Brad Sherman (Calif.) and Al Green (Texas) who both filed similar articles earlier this year, on Wednesday morning several House Democrats introduced five articles of impeachment targeting President Trump, claiming that Trump has violated the Constitution.

Following through on their threats, Democratic representatives Steve Cohen, Luis Gutierrez, Brad Sherman and Al Green were among those at a press conference, saying the five articles of impeachment come out of concern for the country’s national security. The articles focus on Trump’s firing of former FBI Director James Comey, perceived violations of the Emoluments Clause, as well as actions “undermining” the judiciary and freedom of the press.   Continue reading “House Democrats Introduce Five Articles Of Impeachment Against Trump”

OTTAWA (Reuters) – Canada will redouble its lobbying efforts in Congress to block any Trump administration move to pull the United States out of NAFTA, sources familiar with government strategy said, as talks to modernize the treaty run into trouble.

Canadian officials, preparing for a fifth round of negotiations to update the 1994 North American Free Trade Treaty, are increasingly concerned that U.S. President Donald Trump may make good on a promise to pull out of the pact.   Continue reading “Canada looks to U.S. Congress as one way to block U.S. NAFTA pullout”

Red Bluff, CA – Video from a witness has been released, giving insight into the aftermath of a police shooting, as neighbors attempted to understand why an officer unloaded 16 rounds into two dogs they described as “non-aggressive,” and then waited nearly an hour to offer medical attention forcing his victim to suffer.

According to a report from Redding’s Record Searchlight, a police officer was called to a Red Bluff neighborhood on Sunday morning after receiving reports that two large dogs were chasing a girl on a bicycle. The responding officer claimed he opened fire on the dogs because they were “acting viciously and aggressively,” and were threatening to attack him.   Continue reading “Cop Fires 16 Rounds at ‘Non-Aggressive’ Dogs, Kills One, Lets Other Suffer to Death”

A particularly disturbing video was submitted to the Free Thought Project this week showing the Orwellian implications of state-mandated vaccination laws. Porsha Rasheed was simply walking her six-year-old son to the bus stop last week when she was approached by a Claremont police officer and a representative of the school district and harassed in an attempt to find out the vaccination status of her child.

Rasheed, who appears to be well-informed of her rights, did the right thing and filmed the interaction and also refused to answer their questions. However, it does not take away from the sheer ominous nature of this type of activity.   Continue reading “Cops Threaten Mom at Child’s Bus Stop to Make Sure She’d Vaccinated Her Son”

During a November 13 appearance on NBC’s Today, former Vice President Joe Biden answered a question on Texas church attack hero Stephen Willeford by saying, “Well, first of all, the kind of gun being carried he shouldn’t be carrying.”

His response came in response to an audience member who was asking how Democrats can justify pushing gun control when it was clearly the presence of a gun in the hands of Willeford that ended the attack.   Continue reading “Joe Biden: AR-15 Used to Stop Texas Church Massacre Should Not Be Allowed”

It’s tough to say when our societal values shifted so dramatically, but for some reason now, government at large has decided that charity for the homeless is a crime. In a society with such stunning abundance, efforts to feed the homeless are being met with legal challenges and even police action in America. This is a disturbing trend which has been gaining steam in recent years.

In the latest publicized event, authorities in California have demanded that the United Methodist Church in Malibu, CA stop its meager yet hope-giving program of offering hot meals to the city’s homeless. The church has been giving away only 100 meals a week, on Wednesdays, since 2014, which is a relatively small humanitarian contribution in a wave of homelessness which has descended on the West Coast since the housing crisis of 2008 and now spurred on by the excesses of the regions tech industry.    Continue reading “Happy Holidays – California City Demands Church Stop Feeding The Homeless”

On Friday, the “western press” started to set the stage for war between Lebanon (and Iran) and Saudi Arabia (and Israel).

First, it was the third reminder in a row that, despite no presentation of evidence, the ballistic missile that was fired last Saturday by Houthi rebels in Yemen, and supposedly meant to strike the Riyadh airport before it was intercepted by Saudi defense forces, the ballistic missile belonged to Iran. As the AP reported this morning, “the ballistic missile fired by Yemeni rebels that targeted the Saudi capital was from Iran and bore “Iranian markings,” the top U.S. Air Force official in the Mideast said Friday.” Lt. Gen. Jeffrey L. Harrigian, who oversees the Air Forces Central Command in Qatar and made the comments at a news conference in Dubai, declined to offer any specifics on what type of missile they believed it was.   Continue reading ““Israel Will Not Let This Happen”: Iran Is Reportedly Building A Military Base In Syria”

Washington, D.C. – Geoengineering is finally going mainstream as the U.S. House Subcommittee on Environment and Subcommittee on Energy Hearing, on Wednesday, held the first House hearing about the science that until now has generally been considered a “conspiracy theory” and relegated to the fringe’s of society by the Praetorian Guard mainstream media — controlled by the ruling power-elite oligarchy.

The controversial subject of climate engineering or weather modification – which was popularized, and oversimplified with the term “chem-trails” – is stepping from the shadows and into the light of public scrutiny for the first time.
