(Aaron Smith) An American gun company has found a way around the anti-Russia sanctions that have banned imports of the Kalashnikov assault rifle: Make them here, in the U.S.A.
The U.S.-made gun will have same name as the original: AK-47, arguably the most ubiquitous assault rifle in the world. Continue reading “AK-47s: Soon to be made in USA”

A reader, named Wendy Robins, shared the content below, regarding the service several employees of the Hamlin, TX Police Dept. provided to her, via the Cop Block Submissions page.
On November 2, 2014, I was walking home from buying some items at the local grocery store. I was approached by Officer Chad Boyett a block and a half away from my home, which I own. Officer Boyett passed me and did a U-turn at the intersection in front of me and then pulled up beside me. I continued walking as he asked me where my auto was. I told him it didn’t matter because I was walking and that I didn’t have time for this, so I was going home. Continue reading “Arrested for Driving Without a License While Walking”

An individual’s view of health determinants is directly correlated to their sources and how they process information. Regardless of its accuracy, when something is repeated a sufficient number of times, people will start to believe it. The cancer and sunscreen industries have made it their mission to convince the world that sunlight is a primary cause of skin cancer, when it fact it has been shown to prevent it. In fact, considerable evidence shows that blocking the sun’s rays from reaching our skin with, for example sunscreen, significantly decreases our uptake of vitamin D levels, leading to higher mortality, critical illness, mental health disorders and cancer itself. Every year, members of the World Economic Forum gather in the small resort town of Davos, Switzerland to discuss the most pressing issues that are effecting the global economy. Its ranks are filled with the wealthiest people in the world, and include monarchs, former and current heads of state, CEOs, and celebrities.
Much like the Bilderberg Group or G20, their members represent the tip of the pyramid so to speak. They wield immense power and influence in politics, business, and media, and what goes on during their meetings can have drastic effects on the world at large. “As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the air – however slight – lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness.” ― Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas

With all the hype over vaccinations, the question of what constitutes a strong immune system is a major topic–especially during cold and flu season. What makes a strong immune system? Can an immune system be so strong that vaccinations are not needed? We would answer yes. However, the health of one’s immune system hinges on one main factor: antibodies.
According to Medline Plus, “an antibody is a protein produced by the body’s immune system when it detects harmful substances, called antigens. Examples of antigens include microorganisms (such as bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses) and chemicals. Antibodies may be produced when the immune system mistakenly considers healthy tissue a harmful substance. This is called an autoimmune disorder. Each type of antibody is unique and defends the body against one specific type of antigen.” Continue reading “The Secret to Immunity”
From Paulex on Daily Kos:
Recently, I was sitting at my computer, typing away, when I heard the door opening and closing in the next room. It was around lunchtime, so I figured it was my brother (he came home for lunch, once in awhile). I turned toward the doorway, and was stunned to see a uniformed Pennsylvania state trooper striding into the room. President Barack Obama’s decision to prevent deportation of millions of undocumented immigrants has shown that police and prosecutors don’t always see eye-to-eye.
The schism has been apparent in a lawsuit (pdf) filed by 25 state attorneys general opposed to Obama’s Deferred Action for Parents of Americans (DAPA) program.
While the AG’s want a federal court to block the president’s plan, 27 police chiefs and sheriffs from around the country have filed a friend-of-the-court brief (pdf) defending Obama’s executive order. The arc of the political universe is long, but it bends towards monetary policy.
That’s the boring truth that nobody wants to hear. Forget about the gaffes, the horserace, and even the personalities. Elections are about the economy, stupid, and the economy is mostly controlled by monetary policy. That’s why every big ideological turning point—1896, 1920, 1932, 1980, and maybe 2008—has come after a big monetary shock. ARKANSAS (INTELLIHUB) — At 9:52 p.m. CST I received a call from the Center for Disease Control (CDC). It was a recorded message, a survey. They wanted to know how many people, including children resided in my household and how many of them were vaccinated.
I was dumbfounded by the call, caught off guard, as I was already sound asleep after a long day at work. Continue reading “The CDC called me yesterday; what they wanted to know may shock you”
