Gee, they are so worried about guns…
New York Daily News – by Alfred Ng
Police are investigating a 63-year-old woman’s death after she was found dead in her Wakefield apartment Saturday night.
The woman’s roommate found her lying on the floor in their apartment hallway with a phone cord wrapped around her neck, police sources said.
The woman was unresponsive when police arrived at the apartment near Bronx Boulevard and E. 224 St. at about 6:55 p.m., cops said.
The victim’s cause of death is still being determined, police said.
Ban phone cors and get a background check before you can get a phone cord.
All it takes to become a target of this is a prescription for pain medication. The poor woman might have had a bottle of Oxycotin in her medicine cabinet, and they sell for about $25 per pill.
People who are prescribed pain meds that fetch a nice street-price get their houses burglarized all the time. That pill bottle slips in a pocket, and it’s probably the most valuable thing in your house……of course, if your insurance company or medicaid paid for it you probably don’t realize what it’s worth until you have a phone cord wrapped around your neck.
top suspects to look at would have to be friends, family, and acquaintances she or her room mate allowed into their lives. i’d also be looking at the neighbors and the company they keep.
even the room mate is a suspect
Ban phone cords!
I thought the NYPD wasn’t working anymore? I guess if it is a non-gun related crime (like phone cord strangling), they’ll do their job. Actually, do they ever do their job?
