Suspected of robbing at least 15 banks in the past year, a man dubbed the “El Chapparito Bandit” is being sought by federal and local authorities who released a sketch of the thief on Tuesday and are offering $20,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

A San Diego Police Department sketch artist produced an image based on witness testimony and security images of El Chapparito. On Tuesday, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted to spend $2.1 million over the next two years so that illegal immigrants in the city can have lawyers for fast-tracked deportation proceedings, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Over 2,000 juveniles or parents with children are waiting for those proceedings.

The Syracuse University Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, analyzing information gleaned from courts, asserted that more than 25,000 deportation proceedings are waiting to be processed in San Francisco. By the beginning of July, 4,100 involved juveniles, 2,200 of whom have no lawyers. WASHINGTON, D.C. —  The House voted to provide the Obama administration the authority to arm and train Syrian rebels to fight against ISIS Wednesday, despite the widespread concern that the strategy might not work.

The authorization passed 273-156.

The legislation provides the Obama administration the authority to give arms and training to “vetted elements” of the Syrian opposition to fight against ISIS, requires the Secretary of Defense to brief Congress on the plan 15 days in advance and mandates a status report every 90 days. U.S. Department of Homeland (DHS) Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, while testifying before a House panel today, indicated that the government’s ability to detect terrorists inside the homeland is hindered by sanctuary cities that shelter illegals.

Critics warn that the Pentagon’s program which has provided more than $5 billion worth of military equipment to civilian police forces since 1990 has further fueled the “militarization” of police. The equipment has included everything from MRAPS to sniper rifles to medical kits and helicopters.

The technology works by detecting the telltale radio frequencies that emit from a vehicle when someone inside is using a cellphone, said Malcolm McIntyre of ComSonics. Military experts believe a mystery object spotted streaking across the sky over the US was a Russian spy satellite.

More than three dozen witnesses reported seeing a bright object that broke apart into three “rocks” with glowing red and orange streaks as it moved northward over the Rocky Mountains on September 2.

Forty-six percent of doctors give President Obama’s healthcare law a “D” or an “F,” according to a new survey from the Physicians Foundation. In contrast, just 25 percent of those surveyed gave the law an “A” or a “B.”

The hit and run driver that struck Dulcie Canton on her bike in Bushwick last month was caught on video and seen by a witness. The side view mirror that broke off the vehicle during the collision helped Canton identify the car that hit her. Though Canton’s attorney sent three letters to the 83rd Precinct imploring officers to investigate her case, they have not questioned the alleged driver. SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. – Several people showed up with American flags to protest Woodruff High School’s decision to make students remove flags from their vehicles.

The first healthy human volunteer has been injected with an experimental Ebola vaccine today as part of a fast-tracked British trial.

Ruth Atkins, a 48-year-old NHS communications manager from Marcham, Oxfordshire, was injected at Oxford’s Vaccine Group Centre for Clinical Vaccinology and Tropical Medicine today.

The arrests are detrimental to the group’s agenda, he said.
