Police on Long Island have accused a deli owner and his son of trying to cheat a millon-dollar lottery winner out of the vast majority of his rightful prize.

According to police, a 34-year-old man who did not speak English went to the Peninsula Deli and Grocery in Hempstead, N.Y. Thursday to claim his winnings. PESHAWAR, PAKISTAN –  Pakistani police prevented activists who were protesting U.S. drone strikes from blocking trucks carrying NATO troop supplies to and from neighboring Afghanistan on Monday.

Recently in Chicago a week was designated ‘CHICAGO IDEAS WEEK’. The objective of the week was to find ideas that would remedy all of the dilemmas facing the city.

All Chicago area residents were summoned to Chicago to “come see Rahm Emanuel and a community of global leaders, innovators  and creative minds as they shape the ideas that are shaping the world.”

The United States and Iran have made a deal in reference to Iran’s development of nuclear technology and Israel’s King Netanyahu is distraught over the matter.  If we just examine the situation using the controlled information we are getting from the controlled media, it would seem like a good day for America, as it would seem we are finally starting to refuse Israeli rule in the United States.

Hart Island can be found on Google Maps, which labels the northern half of the island “Potter’s Field,” a term commonly used to refer to a place where unknown or unclaimed bodies are buried. The location is no longer accurate, and the name never was. When the city bought Hart Island for $75,000 in 1868, the new potter’s field was set on 45 acres at the island’s northern tip. Administration was handed over to what was then called the Department of Charities and Correction, which operated a prison and a technical school for delinquent boys on the island. Inmates were given the job of burying the dead, a practice that continues to this day. Yale students are being urged to stay indoors until further notice after what the school is calling a confirmed report of a person with a gun on or near Old Campus.

California City Bans Smoking at HomeThe New American – by Joe Wolverton, II, J.D.

Government isn’t content to control public behavior, it is now clamping down on how citizens act at home, as well.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that the city council of San Rafael, California has passed an ordinance prohibiting smoking inside residences with shared walls. This would include, of course, apartments, condominiums, duplexes, and other multi-family dwellings.

Beijing has warned Washington not to “meddle” in the territorial dispute between China and Japan. Though the US has many thousands of troops stationed in Japan, China, an emerging naval power, is challenging for control of the surrounding seas.

If you were lucky enough to get Michael on your team, then you knew you were going to win. If you were in a foreign park playing against kids you did not know, Michael was the great equalizer. I also knew that getting the right kids on my side helped in spelling bees and walking home from the movies so I didn’t get beat up. Learning how to organize my team with the right people, served me well when I became a men’s college head basketball coach in terms of winning the recruiting wars.
