About the same time yesterday that National Public Radio was publishing an interview with B. Todd Jones, director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, a federal grand jury in Seattle handed down a 38-page indictment against a former ATF supervisor at the agency’s field office here that contains serious allegations of embezzlement and making false statements.

A school in South Carolina has been forced to cancel its annual toy collection drive for the charity Operation Christmas Child by atheists who claim that the event is “religious” and therefore should not be allowed.
For the past three years East Point Academy in West Columbia, S.C., has been participating in the toy drive for needy children. But this year the school has had to cancel their participation because an atheist group sent a letter to the school threatening to sue over the false “separation of church and state” issue. CHICAGO (AP) — Dennis Rodman is preparing to thrill North Korean fans during an exhibition basketball tour there late next month.
Though he ducked questions in an interview with The Associated Press about whether his Christmas-time visit would be used for propaganda purposes by Kim Jong Un, the 29-year-old leader of one of the world’s most repressive regimes, Rodman said he’ll be accompanied on the trip by a dozen or so former NBA players. As a blogger it is interesting to me that the topics that generate the most interest include gear. That is understandable, and don’t get me wrong – I get it. I love gear! I think a healthy interest in gear shows a professionalism to be better prepared to get the job done.
The same goes for guns. Well, guns and gear are related. They are related because they are the things that equip an individual. They are the things that an individual can concentrate on in order to better equip himself for the fight. An individual can control his gear and weapon set-up, given the cash to pay for it.
