NEW BRITAIN — Police were seen leading a man away in handcuffs from Central Connecticut State University on Monday afternoon, about 2 1/2 hours after a report of a man with a gun put the campus into lockdown.

There was no immediate word of any arrest or the number of people involved in the incident.

CLAREMORE — The hunt for “Sasquatch” in a section of woods in Rogers County sent one man to the hospital and three people to jail after what they told deputies was an “accidental shooting” Saturday night.

Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton said the sheriff’s office received word of the shooting about 10 p.m., but preliminary investigation revealed conflicting stories.
