The inability of the media and politicians to focus on the real issues never ceases to amaze.

The real crisis is not the “debt ceiling crisis.” The government shutdown is merely a result of the Republicans using the debt limit ceiling to attempt to block the implementation of Obamacare. If the shutdown persists and becomes a problem, Obama has enough power under the various “war on terror” rulings to declare a national emergency and raise the debt ceiling by executive order. Researchers have found high levels of radioactivity, salts, and metals in water and sediment located downstream from a treatment facility which processes fracking wastewater from oil and gas production sites in Pennsylvania’s Marcellus shale formation.

In the first update to the defense partnership in 16 years, the allies agreed to position a second early-warning radar in Japan within the next year to help protect against North Korea. Gunshots were fired outside the U.S. Capitol this afternoon, injuring several people including a law enforcement officer, according to reports. A lockdown order was issued for the Capitol, but it was lifted later.

They have closed the commissaries at all military bases because of the shutdown. They have never done this in a government shutdown before. Why are they doing it this time? They are only doing this for effect.

Imagine the troops overseas right now in Germany and other countries. The prices for food in Europe are outrageous. Troops rely on commissaries to be able to eat at an affordable price. They are now forced to purchase their food in the towns around them. What about the PFC that has three kids and is living paycheck to paycheck?
