After watching the Patient Care Act (PCA), better known as Obamacare, in action over the past couple years one thing is becoming clear. It’s not a law. Sure, Congress may have passed it as a law, and the president signed it as a law. However, when you review its implementation it doesn’t resemble a law at all.
We are a nation of laws, not of men. This meaning that the law applies equally to all. There are no exceptions for this group, or that group. Well, Obamacare does not work in such a manner. If Obamacare was a law then the idea of the IRS union seeking an exemption would have never come to bear fruit. The IRS union wasn’t alone in their request. If fact, three of the country’s largest labor unions wrote a joint letter to Harry Reid (D-NV) and Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) saying that the healthcare bill would be catastrophic and they wanted an exemption. To be fair, the administration rejected the unions’ request. However, the very idea that it was even on the table is strikingly parallel to how the IRS will deny or approve tax exempt status of organizations. On December 31, 2012, just before midnight, the National Defense Authorization Act with Sections 1021 and 1022 for the military arrest and indefinite detention of American nationals without any due process of the law was signed as an act of open sedition against we the people and our Republic. CLEVELAND, Ohio – A new NFL policy will keep off-duty cops from taking guns into FirstEnergy Stadium, according to an internal Cleveland police memo.
The rule, which police said took effect Sept. 11, applies to all NFL facilities and all off-duty federal, state and local law enforcement officers.
Off-duty officers who attempt to bring firearms into an NFL facility will be denied entry. An armed officer will only be allowed inside a league facility if they are working an NFL game or event in an official capacity, according to the memo. SAN FRANCISCO — MasterCard is joining the FIDO Alliance, signaling that the payment network is getting interested in using fingerprints and other biometric data to identify people for online payments.
MasterCard will be the first major payment network to join FIDO. The Alliance is developing an open industry standard for biometric data such as fingerprints to be used for identification online. A teenager who claimed “sarcasm” after talking on Facebook about shooting up a kindergarten spent months in jail this year for making a “terroristic threat.” Over the summer, Instagram photos of guns and money led to New York City’s largest gun bust ever. A mom’s Facebook photo of her baby with a bong led to her 2010 arrest.
While criminals — or those guilty of ill-placed sarcasm — aren’t wising up about social media oversharing, tools for monitoring Americans online are increasingly accessible and affordable to authorities, no NSA-level clearance required. Those in charge are monitoring more and more and social networks are happy to comply, especially where extra revenue is involved.
