Cuba has said missiles and fighter jets found buried under sacks of sugar on a ship bound for North Korea were being sent to the secretive state to be repaired.
The Caribbean nation admitted last night that it owned the military equipment and said it was due to be returned to the island once repairs had been completed. Another cop in Texas has been arrested and jailed for not only illegally arresting a woman but for knocking her teeth out in the process. The incident took place after the 22-year old victim had the audacity to walk past this cop after he had made a traffic stop. This is certainly NOT an isolated incident as the several graphic and disturbing videos below from similar incidents within the past year alone clearly show.

It’s a strange and terrible tragedy when a culture forgets its own history and identity. It is even more tragic when that culture becomes deluded enough to think it can replace its heritage from scratch; that it can conjure political and social reformations out of thin air, and abandon the centuries upon centuries of accomplishment and failures of generations past. Man walks into store in western Pennsylvania, pulls a BB-gun on the store clerk at Moh’s Market in Ambridge, the store clerk pulls out a real gun. After a slight tussle, the wannabe robber gets shown the door with a literal kick in the butt on his way out.

I’m reaching out to you all with words of assurance as I write this story. By now, I think we all are overwhelmingly convinced that we live in an insane world. I call it the “post-reason era.”
It’s a world full of irrational people, criminal corporations, deceptive government, the abandonment of law and even the “dogmatizing” of the sciences which once claimed to be based on reason. In popular culture, we’ve got the insanity of the Trayvon Martin drama in which the abandonment of law is now institutionalized in the justice system itself, where prosecutors are allowed to commit crimes as part of a “trial,” and state attorneys are encouraged to misapply the justice system so that it might be used as a political weapon. Contradicting a statement by ex-vice president Dick Cheney on Sunday that warrantless domestic surveillance might have prevented 9/11, 2007 court records indicate that the Bush-Cheney administration began such surveillance at least 7 months prior to 9/11.
The Bush administration bypassed the law requiring such actions to be authorized by FISA court warrants, the body set up in the Seventies to oversee Executive Branch spying powers after abuses by Richard Nixon. Former QWest CEO John Nacchios said that at a meeting with the NSA on February 27, 2001, he and other QWest officials declined to participate.
