A senior USAID official on Tuesday ordered the agency’s remaining staff to report to their now-former headquarters in Washington DC for an “all day” group effort to destroy documents, many of which contain sensitive information, Politico reports.
US Pres. Donald Trump has lambasted USAID for absurd foreign expenditures. But Trump has omitted perhaps the most scandalous operation: in Ukraine, the US funded groups which defamed the US Vice President, members of Congress, and US journalists as “foreign propagandists,” while training Ukrainians in “PSYOP” tactics.
Just hours ahead of a major meeting between American and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia toward finding a path to ceasefire with Russia, Ukraine’s military launched an unprecedented cross-border attack on Moscow and the surrounding region of the capital.
“The largest ever attack by enemy drones on Moscow has been repelled,” Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on Telegram early Tuesday of the overnight attack. “Seventy-four combat drones were shot down on their way to Moscow, with hundreds more intercepted at various points.”
On Monday, Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown filed a lawsuit against Adams County for assisting Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE). The attorney general accused the county of repeatedly violating the Keep Washington Working Act, which is the state’s sanctuary statute that prohibits local law enforcement from aiding and cooperating with federal immigration-related matters.
