Three Cedar Hill police officers were burned Wednesday in a confrontation with a man who reportedly doused himself with gasoline and caught fire.
The man was then shot by police.

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho—An officer shot and killed a pit bull on Wednesday morning near 8th Street and Sherman. Investigators described the dog as a “vicious” pit bull and said it lunged at the officer. However, the dog’s owner said the dog was not a pit bull but a black lab (pictured above).
The incident began Wednesday morning when an officer responded to call about a suspicious van. The caller claimed the driver of van was watching young children from a nearby parking lot. The owners of coffee shop reported the white van because they thought it was possibly connected to child luring case. A 44-year-old local man is facing a criminal charge because he allegedly posted on Facebook a video depicting Windsor police headquarters being blown up with a rocket launcher.
“We take this seriously,” said Windsor police spokesman Sgt. Matt D’Asti on Tuesday.

President Obama told reporters in Dallas, Texas Wednesday night that he skipped a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border because he already knows what’s going on there — and because he’s “not interested in photo ops.”

This CNN Anchor (I think she’s Kate Bolduan) absolutely goes to the mat for Barack Obama in her interview with Texas Gov. Rick Perry. She might as well be Valerie Jarrett. WASHINGTON – An attorney for the family of Miriam Carey, 34, the Connecticut woman shot and killed by Secret Service and Capitol Police after she apparently made a wrong turn into a White House checkpoint and then tried to flee, says the idea that the officers will not face criminal charges is not surprising.

Years ago while writing for Neithercorp Press I penned an article entitled “One Day Soon, We’ll All Be Homegrown Terrorists”. In that piece I described a not so far off future in which martial law, economic collapse, and the destruction of civil liberties stood imminent.
