Outdoor air pollution has been definitively linked to cancer and is officially classified as a carcinogen, according to research released Thursday by The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), part of the World Health Organization.

Since all US rating agencies (Fitch is majority French-owned) have been terrified into submission and will never again touch the rating of the US following the DOJ’s witch hunt of S&P, any US rating changes on the margin will come from abroad. Like China’s Dagong rating agency, which several hours ago just downgraded the US from A to A-, maintaining its negative outlook. The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) began a study financed by the National Institutes of Health last month that will provide “population level depression monitoring” through the social media site.

A lobbying group for major US manufacturers has violated Washington state campaign finance law while opposing a ballot initiative that would require labeling genetically-modified foods, according to a lawsuit filed by the state attorney general Wednesday.

In response to the Obama Administration’s announcement last week that it will be restructuring US military aid to Egypt in light of the ongoing military crackdown, officials in Cairo have hired a well-known lobby group to improve the image of Egypt’s coup, according to a US newspaper.

The kick the can down the road approach to the American deficit did nothing about the 915 billion dollars the US adds every month to its total of unfunded liabilities which was 221 trillions dollars just a few months ago. The Republican attempt to either delay Obamacare for a year or to repeal it altogether failed. An Internet radio host with good sources within the Republican party was told the party folded because the American people are not quite bright enough to see how bad Obamacare will be. The leadership decided to wait until January when the people get their new insurance bills with reduced coverage, higher deductibles, IRS fines and premiums 60% or more higher.
