Fox News – by William La Jeunesse

The federal agency that backed down over the weekend in a tense standoff with a Nevada rancher is being accused of leaving a trail of wreckage behind.

Fox News toured the damage — allegedly caused by the Bureau of Land Management — which included holes in water tanks and destroyed water lines and fences. According to family friends, the bureau’s hired “cowboys” also killed two prize bulls.    Continue reading “Feds accused of leaving trail of wreckage after Nevada ranch standoff”

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., April 16, 2014 – By a 5-2 party-line vote yesterday, a Missouri senate committee passed House Bill 1439 (HB1439), the 2nd Amendment Preservation Act.  This is an “emergency” bill that seeks to nullify virtually every federal gun control measure on the books, “whether past, present or future.” Introduced by Rep. Doug Funderburk (R-St. Charles), it previously passed the state house by a vote of 110-36.   Continue reading “Missouri Senate Panel Approves Nullification of Federal Gun Laws”

WASHINGTON – In a move lawmakers and farmers are calling “the biggest land grab in the history of the world,” the Environmental Protection Agency is requesting jurisdiction over all public and private streams in the United States that are “intermittent, seasonal and rain-dependent.”

The EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in late March jointly released a proposed rule, Waters of the United States, in an effort to clarify which streams and wetlands are protected under the Clean Water Act.   Continue reading “‘Biggest land grab in the history of the world’”

A Pyramid in the Middle of Nowhere Built To Track the End of the WorldGizmodo – by Geoff Manaugh

A huge pyramid in the middle of nowhere tracking the end of the world on radar. An abstract geometric shape beneath the sky without a human being in sight. It could be the opening scene of an apocalyptic science fiction film, but it’s just the U.S. military going about its business, building vast and other-worldly architectural structures that the civilian world only rarely sees.

The Library of Congress has an extraordinary set of images documenting the Stanley R. Mickelsen Safeguard Complex in Cavalier County, North Dakota, showing it in various states of construction and completion. And the photos are awesome.   Continue reading “A Pyramid in the Middle of Nowhere Built To Track the End of the World”

A series of emails from ex-IRS official Lois Lerner, who twice refused to answer questions from Congress about her targeting of conservative groups, reveals she was in contact with Eric Holder’s Department of Justice about prosecuting those organizations, according to the Washington watchdog group Judicial Watch.

“These new emails show that the day before she broke the news of the IRS scandal, Lois Lerner was talking to a top Obama Justice Department official about whether the DOJ could prosecute the very same organizations that the IRS had already improperly targeted,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton Wednesday.   Continue reading “Emails reveal IRS plot to jail conservatives”

Every American, whether he knows it or not, owes a huge debt of gratitude to the militiamen who stood bravely against tyranny at the Bundy ranch last week. Without pay or compensation, and not for fame or glory, they traveled from their home towns to the Bundy ranch to stand up for all of our freedom and Constitutional rights, and had they not done so, what little that remains of our freedom would have been reduced a little more.

These brave Americans quite literally risked their lives against unknowable odds simply because it was what needed to be done for the salvation of our great republic, and had they not been there, the Bundy family probably would have been shot to pieces, and any “peaceful protesters” would have been gassed and abused by the federal thugs who regularly abuse unarmed protesters with impunity, and obviously enjoy doing so.    Continue reading “Thank you, Militiamen.”

Obama administration is confiscating all of the Apaches...Examiner – by Dave Gibson

As if the Obama administration’s purchase of more than 2 billion rounds of ammunition, and nearly 3,000 urban tanks, along with their unprecedented (and highly illegal) domestic spying program was not enough to convince you that the federal government is about to suspend the Constitution once and for all, the man who once vowed to run “the most transparent administration in history” has just rather inexplicably, ordered the U.S. Army to seize every Apache attack helicopter currently in use by the National Guard.   Continue reading “Martial law: Obama confiscates National Guard helicopters from all 50 states”

Michael R. Bloomberg, making his first major political investment since leaving office, plans to spend $50 million this year building a nationwide grass-roots network to motivate voters who feel strongly about curbing gun violence, an organization he hopes can eventually outmuscle the National Rifle Association.

Mr. Bloomberg, the former mayor of New York, said gun control advocates need to learn from the N.R.A. and punish those politicians who fail to support their agenda — even Democrats whose positions otherwise align with his own.   Continue reading “Bloomberg Plans a $50 Million Challenge to the N.R.A.”

Radioactive waste from fracking has shown up in a small North Dakota town, opening a new chapter in the debate over the controversial process.

In remote Noonan, a town with fewer than 200 residents, local officials found hundreds of trash bags filled with mildly radioactive waste in an abandoned building. The bags contained silt and waste water from the drilling technique known technically as hydraulic fracturing.    Continue reading “Radioactive Material Shows Up In North Dakota Fracking Waste”

Conservative activists and media outlets have generally embraced the cause of Cliven Bundy, a Nevada cattle rancher who inspired a gang of protesters—many of them armed—to face off with federal law enforcement this weekend. But one figure on the right has taken a surprising stand against Bundy’s supporters: former Fox News host Glenn Beck.   Continue reading “Everyone on the Far Right Loves Militia-Backed Rancher Cliven Bundy—Except Glenn Beck”

EXTON, PA — Police followed an innocent man into his home, believing that he was a fleeing suspect.  When the man protested being handcuffed on his own floor with strangers searched his home, an officer cussed at him and stomped on his head, causing multiple facial fractures and shattered teeth.  The scene was so gruesome that a cop testified against a fellow cop.   Yet instead of being fired, that stomping officer was later promoted, and now has been officially cleared of violating the victim’s civil rights.   Continue reading “Trooper cleared after stomping on innocent man’s skull while handcuffed”

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy has a message for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: Get out of Nevada and go back to D.C.

“Harry, get back there and take care of that work and leave us alone here in Nevada,” Bundy said Tuesday on Fox News’s “Hannity.” “You have no business here in Clark County, Nevada.”   Continue reading “Cliven Bundy to Harry Reid: Go back to D.C.”
