Michigan voters in a special election on Tuesday overwhelmingly voted down Proposal 1, an amendment to the state’s constitution that would have increased the state sales tax to fund transportation infrastructure.

Peter Schweizer’s forthcoming book, “Clinton Cash”, claims to have connected the pieces of the latest Clinton conspiracy, one which allegedly involved then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton essentially ‘trading’ uranium mines in the US in exchange for financial kickbacks to her family’s foundation. WYCKOFF — Dozens of New Jersey residents packed a town meeting Tuesday night in response to the s hooting death of a 5-year-old German shepherd dog shot by a policeman during a mistaken burglary call.
Police Chief Benjamin Fox said that Patrolman Kyle Ferreira should not have been on the Lawlins Road property at all. Ferreira misheard the emergency dispatcher and, instead of going to 621 Lawlins Road about 3:45 p.m. to investigate a reported burglary, he went to 622 instead.

DALLAS (AP) — Former House Speaker Jim Wright, the longtime Texas Democrat who became the first speaker in history to be driven out of office in midterm, has died. He was 92.
Wright, who had been living in a nursing home in Fort Worth, died early Wednesday morning, according to the Harveson and Cole funeral home in Fort Worth. Funeral arrangements are pending. Continue reading “Former House Speaker Jim Wright dies at age 92”
Hot Chocolate lead singer Errol Brown has died aged 71, his manager has said.
Brown had liver cancer and died at his home in the Bahamas, said Phil Dale.

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that it obtained documents from the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) that confirm a June 26, 2014, attack by a Mexican government helicopter on U.S. Border Patrol agents. The Mexican helicopter crossed into U.S. airspace before firing on U.S. Border Patrol personnel. The Mexican government initially denied that the attack near Arizona’s San Miguel Gate occurred, but later admitted to the armed incursion.

The head of the Maricopa County Community College District said he hopes that a ruling allowing in-state tuition for “dreamers” will lead to more young immigrants attending the colleges.

U.S. productivity fell by a 1.9% annual pace in the first quarter, resulting in the first back-to-back drop since 2006, the Labor Department reported Wednesday. Over the past four quarters productivity has risen at a scant 0.6% rate, just one-fourth the nation’s average since the end of World War Two.
