A new report from the Guardian says the “CIA took naked photographs of people it sent to its foreign partners for torture.”
These detainees had been part of the CIA’s covert practice of “extraordinary renditions” — the “U.S. government’s global kidnap and secret detention” program. Because the CIA operated the program to avoid scrutiny, exactly how many detainees have been “rendered” remains unclear — as is how many of them were photographed naked by the agency. Caldwell County, TX — In January of last year, Larry Faulkenberry’s 16-year-old son decided that he would play a trick on his dad for grounding him. So, he called the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department, and claimed his dad was drunk and waving a gun.

It would be difficult to find a program that better exemplifies the word “failure” than the Pentagon’s “train and equip” effort in Syria.
Last May, US Central Command issued a hilariously absurd press release outlining what was quite obviously going to be a disastrous effort to arm rebel fighters. “The US military and partner forces have begun training the initial class of appropriately vetted Syrian opposition recruits this week to support the effort to degrade and ultimately defeat ISIL in Syria,” the PR read. WASHINGTON, March 28 (UPI) — The U.S. Department of Justice has dropped its contentious weeks-long legal battle with tech giant Apple, prosecutors said Monday, after FBI agents were able to finally break into the smartphone of San Bernardino suspect Syed Farook.
Justice prosecutors have been working since Feb. 16 to legally force assistance from the California phone-maker. Apple, though, defied a court’s order and refused to help agents break into Farook’s iPhone 5, out of security and privacy concerns. PORTLAND, Ore. (INTELLIHUB) — Last Saturday protestors gathered in front of City Hall to show support for those jailed over the occupation of the Malheur Wildlife Refuge which ended with the death of rancher LaVoy Finicum and the subsequent arrest of the primary occupiers.
One of the protestors, a man who was wearing a hat reading “Oath Keepers,” took to the microphone with documents in hand, motioned to a nearby American Flag, and said, “[…] this is what LaVoy sacrificed his life for — this is what the Hammonds represent — this is what the Bundy’s represent — this is what we all represent — we the people.”

Kenosha, WI — Officer Pablo Torres was “justified” in killing Kenosha, Wisconsin resident Aaron Siler a year ago because the officer “reasonably believed” that the victim, who was “armed” with a five-gallon plastic bucket, posed a potentially lethal threat, according to Kenosha County DA Robert Zapf.

A massive fire has ripped through at least two residential buildings in the Swan area of the Persian Gulf city of Ajman in the United Arab Emirates. According to local media, citing emergency services, the fire has been brought “under control.”

GAZA, (PIC)– Palestinian police in Gaza were able on Sunday to deal safely with a white phosphorous bomb of the remnants of Israeli aggression on Gaza in 2008 – 2009.
