The Circuit Court of Cook County in Chicago has agreed to hear a lawsuit on Sen. Ted Cruz’s eligibility for president — virtually ensuring that the issue dominates the news in the runup to the South Carolina primary.

Cruz was born in Canada to a US citizen mother and a noncitizen father. The Constitution requires presidents be “natural-born citizens,” but what exactly that requires hasn’t been settled in court.   Continue reading “Bad news for Ted Cruz: his eligibility for president is going to court”

I must say that as a lifelong practicing Catholic, I am really disappointed and disgusted at what Pope Francis said about Donald Trump, claiming that he’s not Christian for wanting to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico. That is outrageous and dishonest, especially given the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops own official document on this matter, as well as the official teaching on immigration outlined in the Catechism of the Catholic Church! In addition, I’ve been to the Vatican and to churches throughout the world. Most every Catholic church property has a fence or wall around it, and every single one has locks on their doors. Many Catholic churches even have ‘tow-away’ signs in their parking lot for unauthorized vehicles! I’ve even seen 24-hour Catholic chapels that have signs posted to not give money to beggars and to call the police on them. To claim that securing your God-given right to your country’s sovereignty makes one somehow un- Christian is an outrageous fraud and scandal.   Continue reading “Hey Trump & Pope Francis, Get This: U.S. Catholic Bishops Official Document States The “Duty of Government Is To Secure One’s Border And Enforce The Law For The Sake Of The Common Good.””

Researchers from Ohio State University discovered that the commonly used pain reliever, acetaminophen, has a previously unknown side effect: it kills positive emotions. In the study, participants who took acetaminophen reported feeling fewer strong emotions when they were shown very pleasant or very disturbing photos, compared to those who took placebos. You might be thinking correlation doesn’t mean causation, but when you use the Bradford Hill criteria, and examine all of the other studies done regarding the psychological effects of over the counter pain killers, the picture becomes clearer. World Events and the Bible

Our world grows darker by the day. Not only are lies and deception reigning supreme, so is Satan and anything that relates to him. May 2014 Harvard hosted a “reenactment” of a Satanic Mass. November 2014 U.S. House Representatives bowed their heads in prayer to an Islamic leader. December 2014 a Florida City Council meeting opened with an invocation to Satan. July 2015 the Satanic Temple publicly displayed a goat headed statue in Detroit and they hope to have it appear next to the Ten Commandments in Oklahoma. (I want to make it clear Satanists are not children of Satan, children of Satan are literally the offspring of Cain.)   Continue reading “Inverted Stars, A Sign Of The Times”

Disarmists use the bandwagon fallacy, (argumentum ad populum) to promote citizen disarmament.  In essence, the non-argument makes the claim; everyone else disarms their population – so we should do the same.  This is a logical fallacy.  Perhaps you remember a parent telling you “if everyone is jumping off a bridge, it does not mean that you should”.

How did most of the rest of the world come to have gun control imposed on them? It was done by force of arms.   Continue reading “How was Gun Control Imposed Upon an Unwilling World?”

Federal agents subjected a farmer to harassment and warrantless searches simply for producing raw milk, but a county sheriff took the farmer’s side and blocked federal agents from the property – and the sheriff is now speaking out.

The US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and Department of Justice (DOJ) took the actions four years ago simply because the farmer was providing raw milk to an organic food co-op. The story is receiving renewed coverage because the Indiana sheriff, Elkhart County’s Brad Rogers, wrote a 600-word explanation for a local newspaper as part of his “Ask The Sheriff” series. Off The Grid News previously reported on the dispute.   Continue reading “Showdown: Sheriff Blocks FDA Inspectors From Raw Milk Farm”

When a person dies suddenly, tragically, especially in the “prime of life”, we tend to frame his /her life in those final moments. We can all name such people: John F. Kennedy, Amelia Earhart, the victims of September 11th. These are our heroes. Such a man was Joseph Warren.

Joseph Warren was, undoubtedly, the hero of Bunker Hill and by dying on that hill that June day in 1775; he became the embodiment of the young nation’s sacrifice. The question remains; how do we separate the hero from the man? How did Joseph Warren, physician, find himself on that fated hill just six days after his 34th birthday?   Continue reading “Hero of Bunker Hill Doctor Joseph Warren”
