In a key seismic zone approximately 40 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, there have been more than 1,000 earthquakes since May 25th.  Needless to say, it would be quite alarming for the entire state of California to experience more than 1,000 significant earthquakes in just 3 weeks, but in this case we are talking about an area that is “less than a square mile” in size.  And what makes this even more concerning is that all of these earthquakes are happening in a location that is very close to the San Andreas Fault.  Could it be possible that the San Andreas Fault is about to wake up in a major way?  I don’t know about you, but if I was living in southern California right now I would find this sort of news to be extremely unsettling…  Continue reading “1,000 Earthquakes In 3 Weeks? U.S. Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Anti-Semitism Elan Carr said on Wednesday that Jewish institutions, including synagogues, should have armed security.

“We live in a time of danger,” said Carr told Jerusalem Post editor-in-chief Yaakov Katz in an interview at the Global Coalition 4 Israel Conference. “Any synagogue, every JCC should have guards. Maine is the latest state to pass a law amid frustration with federal inaction over the supervision of student loan companies.

Oregon’s Democratic governor, Kate Brown, has dispatched state troopers to find missing Republican senators and bring them back to Salem to legislate.

All 11 Republican senators are in hiding, at least some of them out of state, in order to prevent the Senate from having the quorum it needs to operate. The U.S. trucking industry has not experienced a downturn of this magnitude since the last financial crisis, and this is one of the clearest signs yet that the U.S. economy is steamrolling into a severe economic downturn.  When economic activity is increasing, the trucking industry sees rising demand for their services and freight rates tend to go up.  That is precisely what we witnessed in 2018, and truckers were hoping for more of the same in 2019.  But when economic activity is on the decline, the trucking industry sees decreasing demand for their services and freight rates tend to go down.  Unfortunately, the numbers that the U.S. trucking industry is reporting right now are absolutely abysmal.  Freight rates have now fallen for six months in a row on a year-over-year basis, and according to Business Insider during the month of May loads on the spot market fell “by a chilling 62.6%” compared to last year…  Continue reading “They Are Calling This A “Bloodbath” For The $800 Billion Trucking Industry As U.S. Economic Activity Dramatically Declines”

President Donald Trump told reporters Thursday that Iran may not have intentionally downed an unmanned U.S. surveillance drone. He said the public will “find out” about whether the U.S. intends to retaliate with a military strike.

WASHINGTON— The Environmental Protection Agency announced so-called “emergency” approvals today to spray sulfoxaflor — an insecticide it considers “very highly toxic” to bees — on nearly 14 million acres of crops known to attract bees.

The approval includes 2019 crops of cotton and sorghum in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-Va.) has joined Senators Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) and Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) to introduce a bill that would outlaw the online distribution of blueprints and instructions that allow for the 3D printing of firearms. Kaine has been pushing the Senate and Virginia’s General Assembly to pass gun safety legislation in the aftermath of the Virginia Beach shooting, including bills to close loopholes in the background check system.
