The utility announced that it may need to do another “public safety” outage to prevent wildfires — less than two weeks after it did the same thing to 2 million Californians — much to the frustration of residents and officials. Low-income consumers are struggling to make ends meet despite the “greatest economy ever,” and if a recession strikes or the employment cycle continues to decelerate — this could mean the average American with insurmountable debts will likely fall behind on their debt servicing payments, according to a UBS report, first reported by Bloomberg.

A Florida man was arrested Thursday for allegedly beating a man to death after he caught him watching he and his girlfriend have sex.

JERUSALEM (Reuters) – Benjamin Netanyahu gave up his effort to form a new government on Monday after failing to secure a majority coalition, creating an opportunity for centrist rival Benny Gantz to replace Israel’s longest serving prime minister.
Netanyahu, who heads the right-wing Likud party, said he had been unable to form a government following an election in September, and was returning the mandate back to Israel’s president, Reuven Rivlin. US President Donald Trump is “fully prepared” to use military force against Turkey if “needed,” Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has declared, qualifying the statement by insisting Washington prefers to use its “diplomatic powers.”

Farmington, NM — A veteran Farmington police officer was allowed to quietly resign this month in a move to escape accountability after horrifying video footage showed him attacking an 11-year-old girl with special needs.
The incident unfolded on August 27, but the officer’s lapel camera video has only just been released. It is nothing short of disturbing as it shows the officer, who is much bigger than the girl, slamming her down on the concrete while abusing her. Homelessness has been a major problem in the USA for a long time. The US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Annual Homeless Assessment Report of 2018 estimated that about 553,000 people were homeless in the country. Such a situation can remain persistent and render many people jobless as at every job a permanent address is required.
The Other Ones Foundation (OOF) has come forward with ways to help these people with employment and some initial help. OOF is trying to bring these unfortunate people back into the mainstream of society. Their target is to enable these people to be independent and they intend to provide them support, shelter, and nourishment.
